Qur'an, Al-Mu'minun, Surah 23:109-11

Among My servants were those who used to entreat, "Our Lord! We believe. Therefore forgive us and have mercy on us, for You indeed are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy." But you chose to make a laughing stock of them to a point that you forgot to remember Me and continued scoffing at them. Behold, today I reward them for their perseverance; indeed they have triumphed.
