Water FlowsWater flows over these hands. / May I use them skillfully to preserve our precious planet. – Thich Nhat Hahn

Our hands are just one of the many essential tools that allow us to be productive members of society. Not only do our hands help us complete daily tasks but they also keep the world going. Without our constructive nature the world would be no more.

Golden ChainI am a link in Lord Buddha’s golden chain of love that stretches around the world. / I must keep my link bright and strong. / I will try to be kind and gentle to every living thing, and protect all who are weaker than myself. / I will try to think pure and beautiful thoughts, to say pure and beautiful words, and to do pure and beautiful deeds, knowing that on what I do now depends my happiness and misery. / May every link in Lord Buddha’s golden chain of love become bright and strong and may we all attain perfect peace. – Buddhist Prayer

One of the biggest challenges in life is realizing that each individual is just a piece of the puzzle. It takes a team of individuals to change the world and knowing that will be all the difference. It’s also crucial to recognize that your sense of being will be heightened if you realize that your happiness if contingent upon your own sense of living. If you carry out misery within your life then only misery will follow. However, if you commit to making a difference and living with a positive attitude, you’ll find that the world is a much brighter place.

Well, Happy, and Peaceful May I be well, happy, and peaceful. / May my teachers be well, happy, and peaceful. / May my parents be well, happy, and peaceful. / May my relatives be well, happy, and peaceful. / May my friends be well, happy, and peaceful/ May the indifferent persons be well, happy, and peaceful. / May the unfriendly persons be well, happy, and peaceful. / May all meditators be well, happy, and peaceful. / May all beings be well, happy, and peaceful. – Buddhist Prayer

No matter what problems you may have with someone you should always include them in your prayers. Sins are forgiven and mishaps happen because those are elements of life. Never turn your head and heart from someone. While you don’t have to keep these individuals in your life, you shouldn’t eliminate them from your prayers and the good will of others. Always strive to be a positive person and share the abundance of wellness, happiness and peace.

Being PeaceIf we are peaceful. / If we are happy. / We can smile and blossom. / Like a flower. / And everyone. / In our family. / Our entire society / Will benefit from our peace. –Thich Nhat Hanh

Peace is the primary element of life that helps the world keep going. Not only does peace provide nature a resource of life, but it also reinforces the necessary elements for a strong foundation within the world and the individual lives of those who live in it. Peace helps alleviate stress from the day-to-day and gives others the strength to forge forward when troublesome times approach.

Buddhist prayers are words of wisdom to embrace no matter what religion an individual resonates with. Instead of viewing these words as phrases from the Buddhist culture, an individual should look at these as words of enlightenment.
