It's not the meek, apparently, but the quick, the healthy and the opportunistic who will inherit the earth, according to a report in Wired Magazine. An Israeli neurologist says the ultimate underdog story -- David vs. Goliath -- was not as one-sided as we've been led to believe. Vladimir Berginer maintains Goliath suffered from a pituitary gland disease that not only made him really big -- 10 feet tall, by biblical accounts -- but made him slow and impaired his vision as well. So the smaller, quicker David was able to outmaneuver his larger opponent and get in position to deliver the fabled killing shot. (Yeah, and if David had taken his Ritilin that day, none of this would have ever happened.)
