Your Beliefnet experience is about to become even better.

As you have heard, beginning later this month you'll have a much improved platform to build your community on, including a new forums tool packed with exciting features. But that's not all. You'll have:

  • a personal journal
  • a friends list and organizer
  • a place to create and manage groups
  • an invitation tool
  • photo, audio and video albums
  • a profile page to store your stuff
  • and much more…

In short, it’s your personal space on Beliefnet where you can get creative, express yourself, and say what’s on your mind. You'll be able to add members to your network of friends and invite new members, creating your own community with the people you choose.

Here's what you have to look forward to:

All You Have To Do Is Sign In

The upgrade to your Beliefnet account will be automatic. Later this month (we'll tell you the exact date once we get closer to launch), come to Beliefnet and sign in as usual. When you do, you'll be able to fill out your new, expanded Beliefnet profile. You'll notice that much of the information from your old profile is still right there. You can make changes, or add to it with photos, keywords, privacy settings. You can update it as often as you like.

From then on, whenever you log in, you’ll be taken to your new personalized "My Home" page. From there, you can conveniently access all the features of the new Beliefnet community.

New Forums, New Features

The most active part of the current Beliefnet community is the message boards, so we think you'll be especially excited about the new forums. There is a lot of history on our old message boards, and many wonderful experiences. Those same experiences can continue on our new forums, supported by many more features. You'll find your familiar gathering places in the new forums, and a chance to make a fresh start.

The old message boards aren't going away—they will remain available for viewing indefinitely—but they will be closed to posting about a week after the new boards are open.

Form a Discussion Group

All your Prayer Circles, Memorials and Celebration Albums will still be there. Dialogue Groups will be moving to a brand new system; not only will you have group discussions, but each group will have additional tools, including their own calendar, photo gallery, group blog, file sharing, and event invitations. Groups can receive "feeds" of readings and study materials from Beliefnet. And finally, the group’s creator will have full moderator privileges for the group, including the ability to screen new members and make the group private.

It’s a new Beliefnet, and it's only going to get better. Come and see! Take a sneak preview of the new tools.

Sign up today to be among the first to know when we launch. Just give us your email address, and we'll enroll you as a charter member.
