Earlier this week I wrote about Money & Spirituality and it ignited quite a conversation between my husband and I. My husband is a classic Creator-Artist, which in money coaching terms means he has a love-hate relationship with money and has some strong opinions about people who have too much money or what he considers greedy. <\/p>\n

So, I’m curious about what you<\/i> think. Is is possible to have too much money? And if so, how much is too much? <\/p>\n

I, myself, feel pretty comfortable with the wealth of others. However, I don’t personally feel the need to accumulate a large fortune just for the sake of having it. If I were “rich” (which I’d gratefully accept!) it would be mandatory<\/i> that I did something with the majority of my wealth to help others. It would not sit well with my own being<\/i> and my life’s purpose to acquire mega millions that simply increase my possessions or investment portfolio. I would however, due to my domestic challenges, love to have a full-time housekeeper and a chef!<\/p>\n

Otherwise, I would want to continue writing and working as a Money Coach and would feel the need to give much of my money away to support causes that I’m passionate about. <\/p>\n

There is so much that needs to be done in this world. Everyday billions<\/i> of people live without adequate food, housing, healthcare and education. Over half the world’s population lives on less than $2.50 a day. On the other hand, according to the 2008 World Wealth Report. <\/a>the population of millionaires has grown to over 10 million people with a combined wealth of over 40 trillion dollars. With less than one-tenth of that wealth, according to globalissues.org<\/a>, we could solve some very big issues. For example:<\/p>\n

– With $40 billion, we could
\nachieve universal access to basic social services for everyone.
– With $6 billion we could provide basic education for all.
– With $9 billion we could provide water and sanitation for all.
– With $13 billion we could provide basic healthcare and nutrition for everyone.<\/p>\n

So, if I were rich…I’d need to be one of the wealthy who model how to make a difference in the world…so that everyone could have more. <\/p>\n

If you were rich, what would you do?<\/p>\n

Here’s some inspiration to help you think about it:<\/p>\n

I will not die an unlived life.
\nI will not live in fear
\nof falling or catching fire.
\nI choose to inhabit my days,
\nto allow my living to open me,
\nto make me less afraid,
\nmore accessible,
\nto loosen my heart
\nuntil it becomes a wing,
\na torch, a promise.
\nI choose to risk my significance;
\nto live so that which came to me as seed
\ngoes to the next as blossom
\nand that which came to me as blossom,
\ngoes on as fruit.<\/p>\n
