As financial pressures continue to mount many marriages are being
\nstrained and tested to their limit. Often, couples just don’t know where to turn for help and guidance. Since our relationships are so valuable and important, it’s critical that we reach out and get the support we need. <\/p>\n

So, if you’re experiencing marital problems due to financial hardship,
\nhere’s a few tips that I recommend you take to
\nhelp your marriage through challenging financial times:<\/p>\n

1. Forgive yourself and your spouse for your financial circumstances.
\nWhat’s done is done, forgive and release it. You cannot rebuild your
\nlives and the future if you are living in the past.<\/p>\n

2. If you’re heavily in debt and need help, contact the American
\nConsumer Credit Counseling<\/a>, a non-profit organization that can help you
\nget back on track.http:\/\/www.consumercredit.com\/<\/p>\n

3. Contact the National Foundation for Credit Counseling<\/a> and locate a certified credit counselor to in
\nyour area to help you. Remember, It’s important to work with people who are properly trained
\nand certified.<\/p>\n

4. Money issues are often a symptom of other money patterns and other
\nbehaviors. If you can afford professional help, find a Marriage & Family
\nTherapist or Money Coach, in your area. Investing in the help you both
\nneed and deserve is worth the expense and quite frankly, much less
\ncostly, financially and emotionally, than divorce.<\/p>\n
