Throughout the current financial crisis, a common message from our
\nspiritual leaders has been to renew our faith in God to help us
\nthrough these difficult times. Faith can get us through when everything
\nelse in our lives seem to be opposing us. Faith is the “yes” in the
\nmidst of countless “noes” that provides the lifeline we need to keep
\ngoing in the face of challenge.<\/p>\n

I wonder though, particularly when it comes financial matters, if we
\nshouldn’t also reflect on the fact that faith moves in two directions?
\nJust as you place your faith in God to help you find your way through a
\ncrisis, consider the fact that God also has faith in you. God knows you
\nand believes you can and will<\/i> take the steps necessary to pass through
\nand beyond your personal and financial difficulties.<\/p>\n

God’s faith in you is different than your faith in him. As frail humans
\nbeings full of chatter and confusion, we are advised to simply trust
\nthat God is there and He has a plan for us. Even if we don’t know
\nthe plan, even if we aren’t even sure that it exists, it is important
\nfor us to know and trust that God is always there and will help us get
\nthrough even our most difficult challenges. <\/p>\n

Today’s prayer is for Kim<\/a>, one of our readers, who responded to my
\nblog last week asking for help:
\n
“I am in Financial Crisis and need alot of financial support and
\nprayers. Any prayers you would like to say for my family please do !!!!

Refuse to fall down.

\nlift your heart toward heaven
\nand like a hungry beggar,
\nask that it be filled,
\nand it will be filled.

\nYou may be kept from rising.

\nyour heart toward heaven — only you.
\nIt is in the middle of misery that
\nso much becomes clear.
