Let’s face it, not all our money problems can be blamed on a bad economy, <\/p>\n

Some of us are grappling with old habits and patterns that existed long before the crisis we are now experiencing worldwide. <\/p>\n

True, the financial crisis makes things worse. And as I always say,
\ncrisis also provides us with a chance to, ultimately, become better at
\nmanaging the money issues in our lives.<\/p>\n

As a money coach, I have come to understand that no one teaches us how
\nto be successful with money, and this is a huge problem in our culture.
\nSo, of course, we’re bound to make mistakes! <\/p>\n

Part of our work as adults is to realize that money as a subject is the
\nlast taboo and greatly needs to be explored and healed so that we can
\nmake clear and informed choices that serve us and help us to create a
\nbetter future for ourselves and our children. We can no longer afford
\nto take the ostrich approach to money, or be financially impulsive or
\navoidant. <\/p>\n

The fact that no one taught us about money, personal finance, salary
\nnegotiations, or much of anything that really matters is not our fault.
\nWe do, however, owe it to ourselves to find the help and support we
\nneed to overcome whatever limits us. And not being empowered around
\nmoney is highly self-limiting and frequently, self-sabotaging. <\/p>\n

So, I say, it’s time for us to raise our collective financial
\nself-esteem and know that we are capable of conquering the money domain
\njust as we have conquered others. By choosing to become fully empowered
\npersonally and financially, we can achieve the peace of mind and
\nfreedom we deeply desire and greatly deserve. <\/p>\n

I invite you to explore the deeper side of money in your life. It is a
\nvery rich and complex aspect of who we are as human beings. I offer you
\nthese questions to begin exploring your relationship with money. It is
\na very worthwhile journey.<\/p>\n

\nEnough to feed us healthy food,
\nAnd more than enough for health care and wellness.
\nBeyond the material needs, please uplift our souls.
\nInspire our creativity and resourcefulness.
\nGuide us in improving our lives.
\nPlease help us to hold on to faith
