\n<\/font><\/b><\/p>\n

I found this quote by writer and philosopher, Ayn Rand, to be very thought provoking. As human beings, we tend to think that money has the power to solve all of our life’s problems. If this were<\/i> true and money operates as the vehicle or means to fulfilling our dreams, then I suppose that it’s also true, as Ayn Rand suggests, that we still have to be the driver who safely drives us across the finish line, right?<\/p>\n

But what if we don’t know how to drive?  Or what if we’re accident prone or don’t know the rules of the road? This could lead us somewhere other than we had hoped.    <\/p>\n

While this is a metaphor, clearly, even with all the money in the world, we<\/i> still have to figure out how to operate the vehicle properly. Money may be the means, but without us in the drivers seat, we’re unlikely to arrive where we’d hoped. No matter what, we’re still the driver of our own dreams. <\/p>\n

So, in the meantime, while we’re hoping and waiting for the “means” to arrive, maybe we could all get some “driver’s education” and learn to be mindful about the money we do have.<\/p>\n

So here’s a few questions to ponder today?<\/p>\n

<\/font>1.<\/font> Who’s driving your financial life?
2. Is anyone behind the wheel or do you simply have a designated driver because you don’t feel as adept as your partner?
3.  What’s preventing you from being the fully empowered financial driver in your life?
4. If you suddenly won the lottery, would you be prepared to wisely drive yourself to your intended destination and manage your new wealth?<\/p>\n

Perhaps we can all begin to build this dream of having and creating more together. We can begin to do this by committing to make wise financial choices and becoming financially aware and empowered little by little each day. And then, when the means and money arrive…we’ll already be great drivers.<\/p>\n
