“Faith must be incarnated,” <\/a>said the man who spent most of his life putting his faith to work for others, primarily through the organization he founded, Habitat For Humanity. “Faith must become more than a verbal proclamation or an intellectual assent. True faith must be acted out.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Millard Fuller lived his faith and lived it well. He never backed away from or apologized for the Christian foundation of his work. And just as importantly, he never imagined that his work was to serve only those who already shared, or that it’s purpose was to help persuade them to make that choice.
\nIn a country which still debates the place of faith-based initiatives in our society, Millard Fuller was a shining example of the idea that faiths exist not to serve the faithful or build their ranks, but to help those sho subscribe to them to better serve the human race. Sounds like a pretty good recipe for success to me.
