It is a daily reminder not to worry. Everywhere you look there are signs to not worry. It may be tough at times with everything that is going on in your life, but God can help you not to worry as much. Worry often robs you of your present and it robs you of the joys that come every day of your life. It makes you think about the possibility and the sometimes inevitability of ad thing happening in your future.

Think about it for a second, what things are you worried about in your life right now? Are you thinking about financial restraints that you have? Are you thinking of a regret that you had in the past with someone or an argument that you had with someone and are you afraid to try and approach them about it?

Are you fearing a presentation that you have to give at work, or an interview for a job? Are you fearing for your child’s life because of bullying in the world? Are you worried that you may not make enough money to provide for your family’s needs or be able to send your kids to a good school? Are you worried about the health of your aging parents or one of your friends who just experienced the loss of a family member?

Have you ever been worried about turning things over to god because you thought He wouldn’t listen to you? The good news is that He is always willing to listen to you when you come to Him in prayer. Take every anxious thought that you have and bring it to Him. Lay them down at the foot of the cross and release them from your mind and your heart.

Some Bible verses that help you not to worry are:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Mathew 11:28-30)

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” Colossians 3:15

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16

“Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the rightous be shaken.” Psalm 55:22

“Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.” Proverbs 12:25

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4

“Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can anyone of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? “And why do you worry about clothes?”

“See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you-you of little faith? So, do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own”. Mathew 6:25-34.

All of these verses point out to you that you don’t have to be worried about your life or the events that occur. God is with you and knows what will happen every single day even before it happens. There is nothing that surprises Him or causes Him to rethink what He is doing. His ways for your life is the best-laid plans. Even if you think you have a plan for your life, it’s the Lord who directs your steps.

The Bible says do not worry 365 times.
