In life, it won’t matter who your friends were, what you looked like or what you wear, or how you treated people. In the end, the only thing that truly matters is if you have a relationship with God, and have received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Knowing Jesus is the only thing that will save you. It is the only thing that will get you to Heaven. Having a personal relationship with Jesus is such a special thing in life.<\/p>\n
It helps you realize that your problems aren\u2019t just your problems. He helps you realize that He will help you through them. He also makes your problems seem not as big and not as much of a burden. He takes away your stress and replaces it with peace.\u00a0 Jesus brings a peace that surpasses all human understanding and when you pray you get that feeling of knowing He is with you. He loves it when you all on Him in prayer at any time, day or night and you can call on His name any time, anywhere.<\/p>\n
He longs for a personal relationship with you, but He also gives you the free will to choose whether to follow Him or not and come to know Him as your Lord and Savior. He will never force you to follow Him if you don\u2019t want to or don\u2019t believe in Him. That is the other gift of Him giving you His free will. He wants you as His child and already loves you as His child but He will and won’t ever force you to come to Him. It is a decision that every single one of us has to make on our own terms. It takes guts and it takes courage, but to be saved and to know that you have eternity with Him waiting for you is a gift unlike any other.<\/p>\n
Trust in Him. Come to Him in prayer, even if you\u2019re unsure of what to say. He already knows the desires of your heart. Don\u2019t believe the lies of the world or of Satan telling you that you can\u2019t come to God. Don\u2019t let the world or Satan make you afraid of God and Jesus and who He is. You might feel as though you are unworthy to be in front of Him, but the truth is we are all in front of Him every single second, hour and minute of every single day.<\/p>\n
You are never out of His sight and you are never off of His mind. He is always thinking about you. When you cry, His heart aches and when you pray in secret about something that is bothering you, Jesus intercedes for you on your behalf. There is even a Bible verse,\u00a0Romans 8:26 that says, \u201cWhen we don\u2019t know what to pray for, the Spirit intercedes for us with groans that cannot be understood.\u201d<\/p>\n
None of this information about Jesus isn\u2019t given to you to scare you away from Him, either. It is to remind you that even when you think no one is watching, that He is watching you and that He is watching over you.\u00a0 He longs to know you as His child. He longs for you to say, \u201cLord, I need you. Help me. Help me in my unbelief. Help me to trust you. Lord, forgive me of my sins and cleanse my soul. Help me to be more like you in body, mind, and spirit. Guard my tongue so I know when to speak and when not to speak. Help me to change my ways to be pleasing to you.\u201d<\/p>\n
If you are afraid to come to God, remember, He is not just a vengeful God filled with wrath and anger. He is also a merciful God and is full of love. He loved all people enough to die for us. Would a vengeful God die for us out of love? Probably not. The world paints different pictures of God and wants Him to be taken out of everything including our schools, government, and our homes.<\/p>\n
How can anyone get to know Him and how can our children and even our children\u2019s children ever get to know Him unless they learn about it at home and in school? No children will ever learn about Him unless their parents teach them. They can also learn about Him in school by reciting the Lord\u2019s prayer. How can anybody get to hear about God if He isn\u2019t welcomed into the places we need Him the most?\u00a0 Instead of hiding our hearts away from God, we should be running toward Him.<\/p>\n
The world needs Jesus more than anything, especially in this day and age. Having a personal relationship with Him and fostering that relationship with Him is the most important thing you can ever do in your life. Learn about Him daily in the word, or in daily devotions and by attending church and even by listening to worship music. Lean on Him at any time. Teach kids and others about Jesus to foster the growth and the yearning to learn about Jesus. We can never have too much of Jesus in life.<\/p>\n
