For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.” He works everything out for the good of those who love him. We have all been called according to His purpose. We just have to be willing to find that purpose and the calling He has for us.

3 John 4 says, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” This verse speaks for itself. There literally is no greater joy than to see that anyone, especially our children are walking in God’s truth.

Isaiah 55:8-9 says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” We must remember that our ways aren’t his ways and our thoughts aren’t always from God. Our thoughts aren’t even close to being what God’s thoughts are. We should be thankful that His ways are so much higher than ours because it reminds us that we aren’t the ones in control.

Isaiah 58:11 says “The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” He will always guide us in His ways, not our own.

Isaiah 41:10 says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This verse reminds us to not give in to the fear that Satan and this world will continue to give us every day. He will sustain us each and every day and help us get through our everyday lives.

Micah 6:8: says, He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Think about what God requires of you in your life. Ask God to reveal His purpose and plan for whatever you’re going through in your life.

Isaiah 43:1-3 says, “But now, this is what the Lord says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. 3 For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” This verse reminds us that no matter what we face that He is with us. Remember, you are called by His name and you’re saved and you are His.

Isaiah 43:18 says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” Basically, move on from the past and move forward with your life. There is no use dwelling on the past. You can only move forward if you allow yourself to move forward. Start by forgiving yourself for your mistakes and ask God to forgive you too. But mean it with your full heart too when you ask for forgiveness.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;6 in all your ways submit to Him and he will make your paths straight.” Trust God in His plans and let Him take control of your life.

John 16:33 says 33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” God wants to give you the peace that only He can give. Even though there is always trouble in the world, God has already overcome the world through allowing His one and only son, Jesus to die on the cross for us.

Romans 8:1 says, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” No matter what you’re going through or what you’ll face, you can have the reassurance of God in your life and know that you’re saved.

Psalm 3:5-6 says, “I lie down and sleep; I wake again because the Lord sustains me. 6 I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.” You can always sleep in peace knowing that God is with you no matter what.

Ephesians 6:10-18 says, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. ”

“Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” This verse is a great reminder as to how to defeat Satan.

What are some of your favorite verses?

Romans 8:28-29 says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
