A thousand dreams on hold. And I don&#8217;t know why. I got a front row seat. To the longest wait. And I just can&#8217;t see. Past the things I pray. Today. Chorus:\u00a0 But when I fix my eyes on all that You are. Then every doubt I feel. Deep in my heart. Grows strangely dim. All my worries fade. And fall to the ground. Chorus: &#8216;Cause when I seek Your face. And don&#8217;t look around. Any place I&#8217;m in. Grows strangely dim. This verse says that even though we have a ton of dreams piled up in our hearts and our minds, as well as in our lives, they can be easily put on hold by God, because He has something better planned for us in the long run. We don\u2019t know why they may be put on hold, but we have to trust that it\u2019s God\u2019s will and His plan for our lives if our dreams are put on hold. After all God is the one in control of our lives and He has been from day one. He does give us the free will to make our own choices, however, when we fix our eyes on what He is and who He is, everything we feel, whether it may be doubts, fears or uncertainties, they all disappear. They all disappear when we fix our eyes on God and His love for us. We as the human race don\u2019t like to be told that we have to wait for anything. Waiting for the right job or anything to come in life can make anyone impatient and turn their attitude sour. We don\u2019t know why God has us wait for certain seasons of our lives for things to happen in our lives.\u00a0 When we focus our lives on Him and our eyes on Him completely, the world around us will go strangely dim. Hence the title of the song, reminding us to keep our focus on God no matter what we are going through.<\/div>\n<div>2nd verse: Sometimes where I stand. On this narrow road. Is in a raging storm. Or a valley low. But oh. When I fix my eyes on all that You are. Then every doubt I feel. Deep in my heart. Grows strangely dim. All my worries fade. And fall to the ground. Chorus:\u00a0 &#8216;Cause when I seek Your face. And don&#8217;t look around. Any place I&#8217;m in. Grows strangely dim. This verse gives vivid description of the heartache we feel in our lives. Some days we go through raging storms or narrow roads in order to get to the beautiful destination on the other side of the storm or the narrow path., The path to God and salvation is always the narrowest path. When we seek God\u2019s face and don\u2019t look around at the world and what the world tells us, anything that we are going through or anything that we may face and anything that we will face, grows strangely dim, as long as we keep our focus on God. There is nothing that we can\u2019t get through with God on our side and our eyes fixed on God.<\/div>\n<div>Bridge: I don&#8217;t know I don&#8217;t know. What tomorrow may hold. But I know, but I know. That You&#8217;re holding it all. So, no matter what may come. Chorus: I&#8217;m gonna fix my eyes on all that You are. &#8216;Til every doubt I feel. Deep in my heart. Grows strangely dim. Let all my worries fade. And fall to the ground. I&#8217;m gonna seek Your face. And not look around. Til place I&#8217;m in. Grows strangely dim. We don\u2019t know what tomorrow will hold or even if we will get another tomorrow. Only God knows that. We never know what a new day may hold for us. We can either live with the constant fear and dread of each new day and the fears that Satan tries to put into our hearts that things will go horribly wrong. Or we can trust that God holds each one of us in the palm of His hand and loves each one of us as His own children. We are saved by His holy precious blood and by His innocent suffering and death. We can let all our worries fade and not look around in fear about anything in our lives, because God is with is always. When we fix our eyes on all that He is, and pray for the peace that only He can give us, the world doesn\u2019t look so scary anymore.
