Especially in this day and age. It can mean being there for friends and family through everything and anything that they might go through. It can also mean just listening to someone when they want to talk, or when they need someone to be there for them. But one thing it doesn’t mean is allowing yourself to get stepped on by anyone or taken advantage of.

No one should be hurt by being loyal. If you’re being hurt by being loyal to someone then it is time to step back and reevaluate the situation. If you are being loyal to a friend and they keep walking out of your life for unknown reasons, or continue to hurt you by their words and actions, you have every right to walk away from them. It might be hard for you to walk away from them at first and it might even take you longer to get over the hurt that has been caused to you, but it is important to pick yourself up from the pain and walk away stronger than you were before. Jesus had to remain strong when others turned on Him too. If He can come out on top as the victor, we can as well when others turn on or away from us.
Jesus was and is the most loyal person on earth. So was His father, God. With God sending Jesus to die for all of us He proved how loyal He was and is to us.

Jesus was loyal to His followers and disciples. He showed them the right ways of life and the right ways of living like God, being like God, and being there for others even when others turned their backs on Him. He showed us the true definition of living life in loyalty. He showed us His loyalty by dying on the cross for our sins. Jesus also showed His loyalty to His followers by providing them with food for the 5,000 people. He also did another miracle by turning water into the best wine at the wedding He was at. He wanted to be loyal to us. He chose to do everything in His ultimate power to help us and teach us to become better people.

In His word, there are many instances of His loyalty. When He was out on the lake with His disciples He saved them from the storm. All He had to do was speak and the storm was stopped. His loyalty literally knows no bounds. He was loyal to His mother when He had John take care of her, when He was dying on the cross. He was loyal to His friends Mary and Martha when their brother Lazarus died. He even brought him back to life. He didn’t leave Peter to drown on the lake when he lost his faith. He didn’t let His disciples think He was dead for longer than three days. He let His disciples know that where He was going, they could not follow, for a while, but He then assured them, just like He assures us, that He was going to prepare a place for them. He also went to Heaven to prepare a place for us.
If He wasn’t loyal to us or His disciples, He wouldn’t have been sent to follow God’s will perfectly, and die for each of our sins. We can also follow His example and be there for others by visiting anyone who might be sick, or visiting in the nursing homes with the elderly, caring for our aging family members with love in our hearts instead of anger. We can also follow His example of loyalty of teaching others about the goodness that is in this world, no matter how bad it may seem as certain times.
We can teach others about God’s love, grace, mercy and forgiveness as well. We can also help others out who are in need, even if they don’t ask. After all, Jesus just went and healed people. We may not have the same God-like power, but He gave us each unique abilities we can use. He loves when we use them for our good to help His children.
John 14: 2, “My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?”
He allows us many glimpses into the loyalty He has shown, whether it was on the cross and dying for our sins, the miracles He worked on Earth. He also showed us how to be loyal to the Father, by keeping in perfect will with His Father in Heaven. We can learn how to be loyal and show our loyalty to others through Christ’s example. It isn’t always easy, but He promises us that it will be worth it. Do everything as if you’re doing it for Him.

Loyalty can mean many different things such as being there for family or friends. It also means being imitators of Jesus within ourselves.

Showing loyalty can mean many different things in life. Especially in this day and age.
