You tell yourself that life isn’t that bad and you pray for peace. Sometimes peace comes over you quickly like a flood, while on other days it may feel as though it’s coming on in a trickle. Some days the hope you have for yourself dwindles down to almost nothing. Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror and felt as though you are looking at a hallowed shell of what you used to be or what you longed to be?

Have you ever looked in the mirror and cried because you just don’t recognize that person in the mirror? Have you ever had anxious thoughts about your everyday life flying through your mind and not fully understand why? Chances are we’ve all experienced days like that. Even though there may not feel like there’s hope, you can always turn to God for peace of mind. That is my prayer for you.

I pray that no matter how down you may be feeling about yourself that God touches your heart deep enough, that you know He is still with you. I pray that He fills your heart with His joy, instead of sadness and that He takes away the numbness and replaces it with His peace.

I pray that you realize that you’re never too far gone to release whatever is bothering you into His arms. I pray that you have the courage to cry out to Him saying, “Lord I need you. I can’t do this one my own.” He can and will lift you to a place that you can reach Him again. I pray that you feel His arms around you when you call out for Him.

My prayer for you is that you enjoy the life He has given you. Take each day as a blessing, and focus on the positive things in life. Think about one thing or multiple things in your day that you’re thankful for. The ability to see your parents and hug them. The ability to drive, or spend time with your friends on a coffee date. I’m thankful that I can write these blogs every week. Remember, you’re never too far gone for Jesus to reach out and pull you back up to a place where you feel His presence in your life. I pray that you feel His presence in your life more than you ever have before. I pray that He replaces the anxiety with joy and especially His peace. Whenever someone reaches out to give you a hug, accept it, it could be God giving you a hug through that person.

I pray that you feel lifted up instead of downtrodden. Yes, life is sometimes difficult, but it is a beautiful ride. All you have to do is look for the blessings in your everyday life. I pray that you look for and find those blessings and take them to heart. Take a look at your life and see the things that He has blessed you with. The blessings are never-ending, all you have to do is look for them. There’s always something to be thankful for. I pray that you’re thankful for every aspect of your life.

I pray that you reach for help when it is offered. I pray that you realize that it is completely okay to ask for help if you’re struggling. I pray that God allows you to ask for help when you feel you can’t even ask for it. I pray that He speaks to your heart, your mind and your soul. Remember, you can let go of the pride and the ego that says you have to be strong and can’t ever ask for help. Everyone needs help at some point in their life. There’s absolutely no shame in asking for help, especially from God.

I pray that you pray instead of complaining about any aspect of your life. It is a tough thing to remember not to complain when things get tough. That is often the first thing that we want to do when things don’t go our way. But instead of complaining, turn all that emotion into prayer. I pray that you can change your attitude from the view of “this is too hard,” to, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13)

I pray that every time you pray, you start to feel the peace that surpasses all human understanding, and that you know the peace is from God. I pray that you seek God in everything that you do, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. Never give up on yourself, or your dreams.

Have you ever had one of those days where you are trying to be happy, yet you just don’t understand why you feel down?
