Watchwoman:<\/span> <\/strong>Reading this, you would have to conclude that the ONLY\u00a0political\u00a0party participating in this scandal are the Republicans. \u00a0Reading this, based upon the “60 Minutes” TV program that aired last night, November 13, 2011, — and was followed up by the local news coverage, only Republicans are evilly profiteering from insider information gained as a result of their political positions, right? \u00a0Couldn’t possibly have been one Democrat that took advantage of this insider information for personal gain? \u00a0That is what I loathe about the media, and even more so because this biased source pretends to be unbiased news. \u00a0They are liars because they try to brainwash and influence — and they have succeeded by huge leaps and bounds over the period of years they’ve been doing it. If they were honest and zapped both parties equally, I’d be shouting hooorrraaah for them, but they are so liberally biased in favor of the Democrats that it stirs up vial feelings of loathing within me. We need\u00a0unbiased\u00a0sources and the liberal, communist, mainstream media is not by any stretch of anyone’s\u00a0imagination\u00a0anything close to it. \u00a0Want to see an example of how brainwashing is done? \u00a0Notice the Headline – “House Financial Services chairman must resign over alleged insider trading.” \u00a0Now if you ONLY read the headline, you would be lead to believe that the House Financial Services chairman has been \u00a0removed from his office. \u00a0The word MUST implies that he has already been found guilty and is in the process of being removed. \u00a0And this is how, Mr. & Mrs. Six-Pack voter, you get worked up to feel a certain way. \u00a0The media\u00a0manipulates\u00a0you! \u00a0No where do you read the word “Democrat” in the item below. \u00a0Only the word “Republican.” Yet the media will claim innocence! \u00a0LIARS! \u00a0Do you trust media that contributes 98% to Democrat party and 2% to the Republicans? \u00a0\u25ac Donna Calvin<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is no law against members of Congress making personal investments with inside information gleaned from their powerful positions, but conservative publisher Andrew Breitbart says Alabama Rep. Spencer Bachus, the Republican chairman of House Financial Services, should to step down from his seat after it was revealed that he made money betting against\u00a0the\u00a0market<\/span><\/a>\u00a0before the financial meltdown in 2008.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s new buzz on this subject after the book, \u201cThrow Them All Out,\u201d by Peter Schweizer, was featured Sunday night on CBS\u2019 \u201c60 Minutes<\/a>.\u201dThe book includes passages about how Bachus made money in 2008 by making trades against the market after attending secretive closed-door meetings about the impending financial meltdown with Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson and\u00a0Federal\u00a0Reserve\u00a0Chairman<\/span><\/a>\u00a0Ben Bernanke.<\/div>\n

While what Bachus did is not illegal, Breitbart said in the interview that it\u2019s \u201cegregious\u201d and \u201cfundamentally unethical.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI am calling for Spencer Bachus to step down,\u201d\u00a0Breitbart said in a radio interview<\/a>. \u201cNot from being the head of the House Finance Committee, I think he should be in Joe Paterno-ville. \u00a0He should be an exile in Alabama-ville.\u201d<\/p>\n

On \u201c60 Minutes,\u201d reporter Steve Kroft said Bachus\u2019s office responded to the charges by saying he never trades on non-public information.<\/p>\n

Speaking broadly about the many members of Congress who have engaged in trading using insider information, Breitbart said he wants \u201cto see these people taken down. And by down, I want them to suffer Anthony Weiner\u2019s fate \u2014 I want them to step down.\u201d<\/p>\n
