Homeless Clash With Occupy Sacramento Protesters At Park<\/strong>

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) \u2014 As the Occupy Sacramento movement settles in for another night inside Cesar Chavez Park, another group sits, watches and wonders if they\u2019ll ever get what they call \u201ctheir park\u201d back.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese homeless people have been out here alot longer than you have,\u201d one homeless person tells CBS13.<\/p>\n

For years this plaza in the heart of Sacramento has been a homeless hide-away. But some just want the Occupy group to go away:<\/p>\n

\u201cI just wish they\u2019d give us our park back,\u201d one homeless woman says.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s one of dozens of homeless who\u2019ve signed a petition:<\/p>\n

Part of the problem, some homeless argue, they feel they\u2019ve lost their freedom.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey got their own security, they act like the police,\u201d one man tells Lopez. \u201cAnytime you do anything they say you can\u2019t do this and that \u2026 and we\u2019re saying \u2018you\u2019re not the police.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

But the allegations of harassment go both ways.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe on numerous occasions came to me with violent threats like \u201cI\u2019m going to get you,\u2019 just terrible things,\u201d one Occupy organizer says.<\/p>\n

The Occupy leader felt so threatened by a homeless woman, she thought about getting a restraining order.<\/p>\n

While she worries about her loss of security, those who used to call this park home worry about how long this group will stay.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey say they\u2019re gonna stay until Wall Street goes down,\u201d one homeless woman says. \u201cI don\u2019t see Wall Street going down. Wall Street is too big.\u201d<\/p>\n

And this park may be too small for some.<\/p>\n
