The Dow sank 390 points or 3.5%. The Nasdaq and S&amp;P 500 each fell about 3.2%. The Federal Reserve\u2019s comments about &#8220;significant downside risks&#8221; coupled with weak manufacturing reports from China and the eurozone sparked a broad sell-off that spilled into copper, oil and gold. \u00a0As investors rushed out of stocks, they poured money into bonds, sending the yield on the 10-year Treasury note to a record low. At this rate, the Dow is on track for its worst week in nearly three years.<\/p>\n<p>9\/22\/2011 &#8211; <strong>Chicago Tribune Mid-Day Report<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/link.chicagotribune.com\/r\/6NKQ2X\/316VK\/6729WC\/DIOK2\/YGXLFJ\/6C\/h?a=9&amp;b=22&amp;c=11\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Dow falls more than 500 points<\/a>. \u00a0Stocks tumbled further into the red Thursday, with the Dow industrials plunging more than 500 points, late in trading as nervous investors flocked to the safety of government debt.<\/p>\n<p>:~:~:~:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>Watchwoman:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0For the last two days, September 21st and 22nd, following September 20th, the day &#8220;Don&#8217;t Ask, Don&#8217;t Tell&#8221; was repealed, the Dow has dropped like a rock falling off a cliff. \u00a0Are we watching God redistribute the wealth? \u00a0Is this what is known as God&#8217;s Judgment?
