\u00a0Undercover: Scientists have been growing human animal hybrids in secret for the last three years.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Last night a campaigner against the excesses of medical research said he was disgusted that scientists were \u2018dabbling in the grotesque\u2019.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Figures seen by the Daily Mail show that 155 \u2018admixed\u2019 embryos, containing both human and animal genetic material, have been created since the introduction of the 2008 Human Fertilisation Embryology Act.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

This legalised the creation of a variety of hybrids, including an animal egg fertilised by a human sperm; \u2018cybrids\u2019, in which a human nucleus is implanted into an animal cell; and \u2018chimeras\u2019, in which human cells are mixed with animal embryos.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

OCA President Chris Long stated, “This\u00a0confirmed report\u00a0of animal-human hybrids being created in laboratories in the\u00a0United Kingdom\u00a0proves the necessity of outlawing the practice here in America, and specifically in\u00a0Ohio\u00a0laboratories.\u00a0 It is urgent that we pass legislation that restricts such outrageous human-animal experimentation.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. David Prentice of the Family Research Council came and testified on behlf ofH.B. 171, Ohio’s Ban on Animal-Human Hybrid.<\/span>\u00a0 Dr. Prentice made the following statement, “Creating \u2018experimental humans\u2019 through nuclear transfer cloning or as animal-human hybrids is an unethical use of science, and will not lead to useful medical treatments for patients.\u00a0 This bill should be passed quickly and the focus should be on ethical and successful research that puts the patients first.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0ACTION ITEM:\u00a0 Call the offices of your State Representatives\u00a0on Monday\u00a0and urge them to support\u00a0H.B. 171, Ohio’s Ban on Animal-Human Hybrid and Human Cloning.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Legislative update:\u00a0 Ohio’s Ban on Late Term Abortion, H.B. 78, was signed into law by Governor John Kasich.\u00a0 Ohio Christian Alliance commends Governor Kasich and the members of The Ohio Legislation who enacted this legislation to ban late term abortion in Ohio at 20 weeks of gestation and on.\u00a0\u00a0OCA President Chris Long stated, “This is a significant piece of legislation that was long overdue.\u00a0 Thanks to the pro-life voters of this state who set the course by electing pro-life legislators who share their views that all human life is sacred and is deserving of protection under the law.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
