Calvin’s Commentary<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>: <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>Whether this is or is not a piece of the Cross that Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was crucified upon remains to be seen. I have no idea and neither does anyone else at this point if it is actually a part of that Cross upon which Jesus Christ suffered, bled and gave up His Spirit for the salvation of every human beings’ sins \u2013 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>conditionally, that is<\/span><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>. <\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>To benefit from what Jesus Christ did for us, one must<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong> first repent by confessing their sins to God<\/strong>, changing their sinful ways, and asking that Jesus Christ’s Blood to cover their sins so they can be acceptable to God the Father in Heaven.\u00a0 That penitent must accept that Jesus Christ is the One-True Messiah and Jesus Christ is the Only Way to God the Father in Heaven. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Additionally, one very important thing I want to make clear is the First and Second Commandments of the One-True Triune God \u2013 we are not to venerate anything other than God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    Archaeologists digging in the ruins of church near the Black Sea found a piece what they say might have been part of Jesus’s famous cross.The relic was discovered at the seventh-century Balatlar Church, in Sinop, Turkey, inside a stone chest.<\/p>\n

    “We have found a holy thing in a chest,” said lead archaeologist Professor G\u00fclg\u00fcn K\u00f6ro\u011flu<\/a>.”It is a piece of a cross.”<\/p>\n

    “This stone chest is very important to us,” said K\u00f6ro\u011flu, who is an art historian and archeologist at Turkey’s Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. “It has a history and is the most important artifact we have unearthed so far.”<\/p>\n

    The project has unearthed more than 1,000 skeletons and the chest in question has been taken to a lab for study.<\/p>\n
