President Obama recently told the New Republic<\/em> magazine,\u00a0“Up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Today, after some suggested the president’s claim might not be true<\/span><\/strong>, the New Republic<\/em> tweeted a picture supposedly proving that Obama has gone skeet shooting:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

And here’s the picture the magazine pointed to:<\/p>\n

The only problem: the picture is a fake, and not hosted on the White House’s website.<\/p>\n

Within minutes the magazine had deleted the tweet and admitted its mistake:<\/p>\n

And then the magazine blamed Twitter for its mistake:<\/p>\n

Calvin’s Commentary (part 1): If you clicked on the link above to see the picture of Obama supposedly skeet shooting, you’ll find that you got a message \u201cproblem loading the page.\u201d That’s because the http:\/\/whitehouse.gov<\/a> photo no longer exists. Even the White House knows it cannot prove the statement made by Obama! But I did the hard work for you<\/em> and found the picture at another web site still willing to expose the fake photo the New Republic<\/em> possibly faked (or did it get it from the White House web site? I don’t know. The New Republic<\/em> blames Twitter for the fake photo and tweet, so I have no idea who to slap the blame on.\u00a0 The left is always quick to back up each other’s butts! So take a gander at your messianic president who is more honest than Abe and more constitutional than Madison.\u00a0 +\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>BTW, just FYI, although the New Republic<\/em> was sold and purchased by Facebook co-founder the 29-year-old Chris Hughes who apparently had promised to broaden the scoop of the left-leaning magazine; however, it still has has the same current of left of center thought running through its pages. Carney has never seen a photo of Obama skeet-shooting<\/a><\/h1>\n

Even the White House Propaganda Minister Jay Carney won’t take a shot at this one!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

White House<\/a> press secretary Jay Carney<\/a> said Monday that he\u2019s not aware of how often President Obama goes skeet shooting at Camp David.<\/p>\n

Mr. Carney<\/a>, asked during a press conference if there was a photograph of the president shooting skeet, replied, \u201cthere may be, but I haven\u2019t seen it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The suspicion comes after President Obama defended the right for hunters to own guns in a New Republic<\/em> interview.<\/p>\n

\u201cPart of being able to move this forward is understanding the reality of guns in urban areas are very different from the realities of guns in rural areas,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

When asked if he had ever shot a gun, the president replied: \u201cYes,\u201d the president says, \u201cin fact, up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

After replying that he never saw a photo, Mr. Carney<\/a> was quick to explain that when President Obama goes to Camp David, \u201che goes to spend time with his family and friends, not produce photographs.\u201d<\/p>\n
