At least one student at Harvard University is expressing outrage over the name of \u201cIncest-Fest,\u201d a hook-up dance to be held at the university\u2019s famous Kirkland House dormitory this winter.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The event, described in the Kirkland House Wikipedia entry, is an annual \u00a0\u201cdebaucherous dance open only to [male and female] members of the house.\u201d<\/p>\n

Are you impressed? This is what parents pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for in college tuition — and don’t forget that Harvard is supposed to be one of the foremost and top-crust colleges in the USA that turns out the Senators and Congressmen. Graduate from Harvard and the holder of that impressive degree means all the doors are open to the scumbags who act more like “Animal House” characters than students. Little wonder we have the likes of Obamanation and rapists like the impeached former Clintoooon in the Oval Office (although they didn’t go to Harvard). God help America! And, of course, I’m sure all these parties are drug abuse free!\u00a0 And they vote, too determining the future of America!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Harvard\u2019s official student newspaper, The Crimso<\/em>n, also mentions the event in it campus life guide.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ll spend all of Secret Santa week watching underclad men gyrating in the dining hall and figuring out who you\u2019ll hook up with at Incest Fest,\u201d it reads. \u201c[H]ouse life is incredibly close-knit, bordering on downright incestuous.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut there\u2019s more to Kirkland than raunchy dining hall skits and regrettable hook-ups,\u201d the paper continues.<\/p>\n

Junior Samantha Berstler, who is a resident in the Kirkland House however, argued in an op-ed in the The Crimson, <\/em>that the party\u2019s name is \u201coffensive and insensitive\u201d \u00a0because incest is no joking matter.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe name \u2018Incest-Fest\u2019 is not sexy or cute or clever,\u201d wrote Berstle.<\/p>\n

Other students commenting responded to Bestle\u2019s criticism, however, suggesting she should lighten up.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t go and let other people have a sick time getting laid,\u201d wrote an apparent student, Marcus Bunny.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Harvard University did not provide comment to Campus Reform, despite multiple inquiries via phone and e-mail.<\/p>\n

Famous former residents of the Kirkland dorm include Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) and, and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.<\/p>\n
