Last night, May 25, 2011, on TV, \u201cAmerican Idol\u201d played its season finale. \u00a0Wow, oh my gosh, oh gee! \u00a0Could we hear a measure from the \u201c\u00a0Hallelujah\u00a0Chorus!\u201d \u00a0We have a brand new \u201cAmerican Idol\u201d!<\/p>\n

Do you think God is all excited?<\/p>\n

The people who keep slopping at the Kool-Aid trough think this is the greatest thing since sliced bread.<\/p>\n

Well, the ones who spent their money on long distance phone calls to vote for their \u201cAmerican Idol\u201d, are not for the most part old enough to know there wasn\u2019t a time when we didn\u2019t have sliced bread. \u00a0The porn king of bunnies, Hugh Hefner, was born four years before there was sliced bread, but the dumbed-down, typical air-head that watches \u201cAmerican Idol\u201d thinks that not only have we just elected a new \u201cAmerican Idol,\u201d who is the top of the tops, they think that Hugh Hefner is the grantor the First Amendment (for the air-heads, that\u2019s Free Speech, kiddies).<\/p>\n

But all of this, American Idol, porn, and most of the nonsense on TV today is worthless. \u00a0It has no redeeming qualities!<\/p>\n

Jesus Christ is the redeemer. \u00a0He alone can save you from the eternal flames of hell.<\/p>\n

The Ten Commandments, now banned in public government sewage systems (that\u2019s the public government school you attended) are what should be honored in your living room, your family room, your bedroom, your kitchen, you know all those places where you have multiple TV sets.<\/p>\n

If you had the Ten Commandments displayed you\u2019d know that the first two are very explicit concerning idols<\/em>.<\/p>\n

All ten of the Commandments are stated clearly in Exodus 20:2\u201317 and repeated in Deuteronomy 5:6\u201321, but for this post, I will focus on the first two, the two about idols<\/em>. \u00a0The words of God about idols are located in the first six verses of the King James Version of the Holy Bible! \u00a0You might want to read it sometime<\/span>. \u00a0There is likely one located somewhere in your house. \u00a0Most people have one somewhere, they just don\u2019t bother to read or study it.<\/p>\n

And now hear and listen to the powerful and truthful Word of God, but you\u2019ll first need to know that an other god, a graven image, or any likeness of any thing<\/em> is an idol<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd God spake all these words, saying, I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.\u201d<\/p>\n

So how does God\u2019s Word measure up to the worthless TV \u201cAmerican Idol\u201d from last night\u2019s worthless TV \u201cAmerican Idol\u201d program?<\/p>\n
