Watchwoman’s Editorial<\/strong><\/span><\/span>: I do not always agree with Gary North’s positions, sometimes finding him a little heavy leaning; however, I agree with Mr. North about not compromising. He’s right on target in his article below. He reminds us <\/span><\/span>that Congressman Todd Akin takes a \u201cno exceptions\u201d position on abortion, adding, \u201cAnyone who runs for office who holds this position had better know why.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I have learned from Pastor Phil Vollman and Pastor Ernie Sanders, two very active pro-life missionaries to the unborn that you <\/span><\/span>NEVER<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> back down. You <\/span><\/span>NEVER<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> retreat. You <\/span><\/span>NEVER<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> compromise. You <\/span><\/span>stick<\/strong><\/span><\/span> to God’s position! <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Abortion is murder and the authority for that position is God,<\/strong> not often used by mealy-mouthed Christians, cowardly conservatives in debates<\/strong>, or completely unprepared Republican politicians while engaging reprobate pro-abort liberals who are biased to begin with, groups of feminist evil witches, communist Democrats and all the other baby-murderers, who profit while enjoying the torture of the innocent in bloody killing mills everyday \u2013 slaughtering 3,200 babies a day in these heinous procedures that stops a beating heart, making billions off their murders! That’s a holocaust for profit<\/strong>!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I strongly urge you to read Mr. North’s article below and take it to heart \u2013 because if you are truly pro-life, one day it is very likely that you will be confronted about your position and you had better be prepared to defend it (unlike Republican Congressman Todd Akin) and you might as well understand right now that you cannot argue God’s positions and His Righteousness in your own words and in your own flesh \u2026 because if you do, you will lose the debate<\/strong> \u2026 and be humiliated just like Mr. Akin has been! <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking in the flesh and using the parameters of the liberals rather than sticking with the Righteousness of God’s Authority is how we Christians have been continually losing over the years. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Why? <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Because we allow the other side to form the debate<\/strong>! <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We must stick solely to the authority of God’s Inerrant Word, the Holy King James Bible as our Authority! <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

How Todd Akin Shot Himself in the Foot on the Abortion Issue<\/h1>\n

Rep. Todd Akin defied the nation’s top Republicans Tuesday to forge ahead with his Senate campaign, declaring they were overreacting by abandoning him due to his comments that women’s bodies can prevent pregnancies in cases of “legitimate rape.” (Aug. 21)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Congressman Todd Akin takes a \u201cno exceptions\u201d position on abortion. Anyone who runs for office who holds this position had better know why. He never did. He still doesn\u2019t.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

He is running for U.S. Senate in Missouri.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

If you run for office, and you say that your position on the most controversial campaign issue is not negotiable, then you must master the logic of your position. You must also rehearse your answers. This well-meaning dork did neither.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The hard core position is this: \u201cAbortion is murder.\u201d This requires you to call for the prosecution of the abortionist, the nurse, and the mother as murderers. This is the inescapable logic of the position. It is politically unacceptable. So, no one in the anti-abortion movement comes clean on this. This has always been true. Here is the public position: \u201cAbortion is murder, but the civil sanction against murder in my state should not be applied. Maybe the state should impose a fine. I don\u2019t know. But abortion is really mean. I\u2019m opposed to it personally.\u201d It is an untenable position politically. It is an untenable position logically and judicially.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This is why the anti-abortion organizations are useless, and always has been. They soft-pedal the crime. They want votes. The anti-abortion position is tenable only on the basis that abortion is murder, but the heads of these outfits are trying to play politics, so they duck the obvious question: \u201cWhat is the appropriate penalty for murder?\u201d This is why the movement is hopeless: no brains, no backbone, and no clarity. Its leaders are ashamed of the judicial implications of their position. \u201cNo, no, no: we don\u2019t hold<\/span><\/span><\/span> that<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em>.\u201d To which the reporter should reply: \u201cThen is abortion murder?\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The softer core position is this: \u201cThe child\u2019s life must always be protected. The state must speak judicially on behalf of the unborn person.\u201d It is squishy to the extent that it refuses to demand that the state prosecute for murder. The state speaks for all other victims of murder by imposing sanctions for murder, but not for victims of abortion. This is the position of the anti-abortion movement. So, hardly anyone takes this movement seriously. That is because people perceive that the movement does not take abortion seriously.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Anyone running for Congress should take this position: the federal government should have no jurisdiction here, for the Constitution lists only counterfeiting, treason, piracy, and felonies on the high seas as federal crimes. Therefore, the Supreme Court has overstepped its lawful jurisdiction in ruling on a state crime. Therefore, Congress should exercise its constitutional authority and remove abortion from the court\u2019s jurisdiction. Article III, Section 2 states:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction. In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Akin failed to understand any of this. So, when asked the standard question \u2014 \u201cWhat about victims of rape?\u201d \u2014 he made a fool of himself. He said raped women don\u2019t often get pregnant. His answer is all over the Web and the media.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He moved from legal protection of the child to the convenience of the mother. He gave away his position, and he looks like a dork in the process.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Now the dork has produced a video with an apology. He focuses on the protection of the woman in his video. The judicial issue was never the protection of the woman. It was protection of the child from\u00a0 a murderous mother who was the victim of a rape, and who wants to kill the child.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In his answer he says his wording was wrong. It sure was! He makes no attempt to explain his position. He thereby surrenders his position. He says that rape is a very bad thing. Well, duh.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
