Just when you thought \u201cToddlers and Tiaras<\/a>\u201d couldn\u2019t sink any lower, the TLC hit reality show that follows pint-sized beauty pageant contenders showed one 4-year-old contestant donning fake boobs and a padded bottom to emulate her idol Dolly Parton.<\/p>\n

Wearing a hot pink cat suit padded to produce an hourglass silhouette and a peroxide blonde bouffant wig, little Maddy Jackson was transformed into a smaller version of curvy country icon Parton.<\/p>\n

Her mother Lindsay Jackson defended her daughter\u2019s \u201cenhancements\u201d Wednesday on \u201cToday.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTo some people, it\u2019s over the top, to us it\u2019s just what happens. \u2026 It\u2019s just normal. When she wears the fake boobs and the fake butt, it\u2019s just like extra bonus,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

In a clip from the show Maddy is seen getting ready with stylist Michael Booth. When Booth asks her, \u201cDo you like the boobies in your outfit,\u201d Maddy replies yes. Booth does not.<\/p>\n

He tells her, \u201cI think you\u2019re cute and you would be just as cute without those, don\u2019t you?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI wasn\u2019t a big fan of the outfit with the boobs in it. She\u2019s very young, but hopefully the judges will perceive it in good taste,\u201d Booth says later.<\/p>\n

Even her pint-sized competitors were unsure of what to make of Maddy\u2019s outfit. When another girl points to her chest and says, \u201cWhat\u2019s that,\u201d Maddy wraps her arms around her fake bust.<\/p>\n

Mom comes to the rescue and says, \u201cTell her you\u2019re Dolly Parton.\u201d<\/p>\n

When it came time to perform on stage, Maddy channeled her idol, with her hands on her hips, she wiggled her bottom.<\/p>\n

Last year, pint-sized beauty queen Madisyn \u201cMaddy\u201d Verst sparked outrage when she appeared on TLC\u2019s hit reality show \u201cToddlers & Tiaras\u201d prancing around in a sparkly Dolly Parton outfit complete with padded breasts and backside.<\/p>\n

The then five-year-old\u2019s saucy shake and shimmy landed her on the cover People magazine, with the headline asking, \u201cGone Too Far?\u201d<\/p>\n

That question could be answered Friday, August 17 at 1pm EST when a court hearing is scheduled in Campbell County, Kentucky to decide who will be granted custody of Maddy, her mother, Lindsay Jackson, or father, Bill Verst, who has petitioned the court for full custody.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve done nothing wrong, by way of being a mother, I\u2019m a great mother,\u201d Jackson told\u00a0FOXNews.com<\/a>\"\"\u00a0exclusively. \u201cBecause I participate in pageants with my daughter is not a reason to take my child from me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jackson claims that her ex-husband is using Maddy\u2019s participation in child beauty pageants as a reason for the court to award him full custody.<\/p>\n

\u201cPageants have never been challenged, they\u2019re not illegal,\u201d said Jackson. \u201cI\u2019m not doing anything illegal with my kid.\u201d<\/p>\n

I shouldn\u2019t be at risk of losing my child simply because she participates in a hobby that some people don\u2019t like<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

However, in documents obtained by FoxNews.com, a psychologist appointed by the court recommends the parents “maintain a temporary joint custodial arrangement, with Bill as primary residential custodian.”<\/p>\n

In coming to the recommendation, the psychologist writes over 3,000 words condemning Maddy\u2019s participation in child beauty pageants, specifically citing her Dolly Parton number on \u201cToddlers & Tiaras\u201d and photographs of Maddy dressed as \u201csexy police officer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, if I had know that this Dolly thing was going to be an issue, I wouldn\u2019t have done it, especially on national TV,\u201d said Jackson. \u201cI never intended for it to be a negative costume \u2013 it was costume designed to represent our state. Dolly\u2019s from Tennessee, so that\u2019s what I did. As far as the police outfit goes, it\u2019s nothing more than a pair of shorts and a shirt that says, \u2018Bad cop, no donut\u2019 on the back. You can buy it for retail as a Halloween costume \u2013 and it\u2019s more revealing than what Madisyn was wearing. That outfit was never intended on being sexualized. (The court-appointed psychologist) thinks it is, but that\u2019s a matter of opinion.\u201d<\/p>\n

The court-appointed psychologist is not alone in believing Jackson is contributing to the sexualization of her daughter.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe whole pageant mentality concerns me \u2013 especially for very young children,\u201d Dr. Jenn Berman, a Beverly Hills-based psychotherapist and host of VH1\u2019s upcoming season of \u201cCouples Therapy,\u201d told\u00a0FoxNews.com<\/a>\"\". \u201cGiving children the idea that their value is in looking pretty or being sexualized is a very scary message to give kids, especially at such a young age. I can definitely understand why a court-appointed psychologist would be concerned.\u201d<\/p>\n

But Jackson believes that because of her ex-husband\u2019s connections, the judge, and the court-appointed psychologist, are biased against her.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re in a very, very small town and his family is very, very political and very, very well-known and very, very wealthy, they\u2019re very involved in the court system and everything else,\u201d said Jackson. \u201cI\u2019m fighting a losing battle in a county because of who his family is and how much money they have. I shouldn\u2019t be in this court to begin with, it should have been moved to another court so it would be unbiased.\u201d<\/p>\n

One legal expert says Jackson will have an uphill battle in her case.<\/p>\n

\u201cNine times out of ten, judges will use the (court-ordered psychologist’s) report verbatim,\u201d Beverly Hills-based attorney Evan T. Sussman told\u00a0FOXNews.com<\/a>\"\". \u201cIf a psychologist is appointed as an expert on a case, they\u2019re a neutral expert and the reports are very persuasive.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jackson fears that the court will award her ex-husband custody of Maddy, despite Verst having a lengthy record that includes alcohol and drug-related arrests.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe does not pay child support,\u201d alleged Jackson of her ex-husband. \u201cHe\u2019s been ordered to pay $500 a year for school stuff, and he has not paid that. Up until August of this last year, which is when \u2018Toddlers & Tiaras\u2019 came out, he never challenged the premise of pageants at all. But when \u2018Toddlers & Tiaras\u2019 came out, somebody else gave him the idea to say that I was sexualizing her, and he decided to run with it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Verst’s attorney had no comment when reached by FoxNews.com. A representative for the Campbell County Family Court in Kentucky declined comment, telling\u00a0FoxNews.com<\/a>\"\", \u201cWe can\u2019t comment on a case that is in open litigation right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jackson is concerned that a ruling against her could set a precedent.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf (the judge decides) that Maddy needs to live with her dad because she does pageants with me, then that opens the door for any parent to challenge anybody on activity that a kid does, period,\u201d declared Jackson. \u201cWe could really open up Pandora\u2019s Box to set a precedent all over the world. What if years ago Gabby Douglas\u2019 father said, \u2018She\u2019s not going to be a gymnast. She\u2019s not going to move away from home and practice gymnastics because I won\u2019t allow it,\u2019 and he and Gabby\u2019s mother got into a fight? We wouldn\u2019t have gold medal winners, we wouldn\u2019t have Miss America, we wouldn\u2019t have Miss USA.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sussman noted that if Jackson loses custody of Maddy due to her participation in child beauty pageants, it could effect decisions in future court cases across the United States. \u201cIt certainly could be persuasive,\u201d said the family law attorney. \u201cIt\u2019s not binding, but it certainly could be persuasive.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s very eye-opening and I think it will probably send waves through the pageant world,\u201d Dr. Berman said of the potential outcome of the court case. \u201cI\u2019m sure that there will be a lot of parents who will be very worried for what this means for their kid and their relationship with their kid.\u201d<\/p>\n

In any case, Jackson remains defiant in her defense of child beauty pageants.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile some people may or may not agree with pageants\u2013it\u2019s not illegal,\u201d said Jackson. \u201cI shouldn\u2019t be at risk of losing my child simply because she participates in a hobby that some people don\u2019t like.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
