The Real Bigots<\/strong>
\nOver the last few days I have read dozens and dozens of reports from friends around the country discussing their Chick-fil-A dining experiences this week. What struck me were the adjectives used. Customers were \u201chappy,” \u201cupbeat,\u201d \u201cfriendly,\u201d \u201cloving\u201d and \u201cpolite.\u201d They were excited to have a chance to do something positive. I did not read one example of inappropriate rhetoric, anger or hatred toward anyone.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sadly, our opponents don\u2019t embrace the same spirit. While they shout about tolerance, their behavior is anything but tolerant. In this great free country, it is perfectly acceptable not to buy a product because you don\u2019t agree with the producer. But that isn\u2019t what they are doing.<\/p>\n

In Torrance, California, Chick-fil-A employees came to work this morning to see their place of business spray-painted with the words \u201cTastes Like Hate.\u201d Sad, but not surprising. Just a few short months ago, the left-wing Occupy Wall Street crowd wasn’t content to criticize capitalism. They quickly engaged in harassing bank employees, blocking doorways to businesses and starting mini riots.<\/p>\n

Other homosexual marriage supporters harassed the young employees at various outlets and ordered only water to clog up drive-thrus. Today 15,000 activists say they will do a same-sex kiss-in at Chick-fil-A shops. Can you imagine if 15,000 heterosexual conservatives went into \u201cgay\u201d bathhouses to do the same?<\/p>\n

I had some time to talk with Dr. James Dobson yesterday, and he and I reminisced about how 25 years ago we were warning people of faith that someone\u2019s values will ultimately prevail. There is no \u201cneutral\u201d society. Either Judeo-Christian values will be the norm, or the cultural left will use the courts, the politicians and the mob to silence all who resist its demands. Dr. Dobson and I both wish we had been wrong 25 years ago, but we were right. Now it gets down to this. Do we have the same commitment to our cause as our opposition has to theirs?<\/p>\n

On a day that some sodomite\/lesbian\/not so sure what they are – rights activists are planning a “National Same-Sex Kiss Day,” a Chick-fil-A in Torrance was vandalized overnight with hateful graffiti.<\/p>\n

Chick-fil-A employees were greeted Fridays morning with the words “Tastes like hate” scrawled in large black lettering mimicking the chain’s advertising across the back wall of the restaurant at 182nd Street and Hawthorne Boulevard in Torrance.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has also weighed in on the Chick-fil-A debate, noting that Los Angeles has a “vibrant” LGBT community.<\/p>\n

“I’m proud to support them as we call on Chick-fil-A’s leadership to reconsider their position and join the growing majority of Americans who support marriage equality,” Villaraigosa said. “In Los Angeles and in America, love and liberty will always triumph.”<\/p>\n
