A man was walking down the street when he was approached by a particularly dirty and shabby-looking homeless man who asked him<\/em><\/strong> for a couple of dollars for dinner.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The man took out his wallet, extracted <\/span><\/span><\/em>ten dollars and asked,<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“If I give you this money, will you buy some beer with it instead of dinner?”<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0“No, I had to stop drinking years ago,”<\/span><\/span><\/em>the homeless man replied.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u00a0“Will you use it to go fishing instead<\/span><\/span><\/em> of buying food?” the man asked.<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0“No, I don’t waste time fishing,” the homeless man said. “I need to spend<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/span> all my time trying to stay alive.”<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u00a0“Will you spend this on greens’ fees at a golf course instead of food?” the man asked.<\/span><\/span><\/em>“<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Are you NUTS!” replied the homeless man. “I haven’t played golf in 20 years!”<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“Will you spend the money on a woman in the red light district instead of food?” the man asked.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“What disease would I get for ten lousy bucks?” exclaimed the homeless man.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“Well,” said the man, “I’m not going to give you the money. Instead, I’m going to take you home for a terrific dinner cooked by my wife.”<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The homeless man was astounded. “Won’t your wife be furious with you for doing that? I know I’m dirty and I probably smell pretty disgusting.”<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The man replied,<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/em>“That’s okay. It’s important for her to see what a man looks like after he <\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/em>has given up beer, fishing,<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/em> golf and sex.”<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
