NOBAMA – NO vetting – NO transparency!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

As the Obama campaign and the media continue to press Mitt Romney to release more of his tax returns, and to suggest–without a shred of evidence–that he is a \u201cfelon,\u201d it is worth noting how much critical information Barack Obama has withheld from view–both as a candidate in 2008, and during his term in office. Here is a Breitbart News top ten list of things that Obama has refused to release (a complete list would fill volumes):<\/strong><\/p>\n

10. State senate papers<\/strong>. In the 2008 primary, Obama criticized Hillary Clinton for not releasing papers from her eight years time as First Lady–but failed to produce<\/a> any papers from his eight years in Springfield. \u201cThey could have been thrown out<\/a>,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

9. Academic transcripts<\/strong>. His supposed academic brilliance was a major selling point, but Obama (by his own admission) was a mediocre student. His GPA at Occidental was a B-plus<\/a> at best, and his entering class at Columbia was weak<\/a>. Can he prove his merit?<\/p>\n

8. Book proposal<\/strong>. Obama\u2019s literary agent claimed he was \u201cborn in Kenya<\/a>\u201d–for sixteen years<\/a>. His original book proposal exists–biographer David Maraniss refers<\/a> to it–and seems to have embellished other key details of his life. Yet it has never been released.<\/p>\n

7. Medical records<\/strong>. In 2000, and again (briefly) in 2008, GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain released<\/a> thousands of pages of his medical records. Obama, who had abused drugs and continued smoking, merely provided a one-page doctor\u2019s note<\/a>.<\/p>\n

6. Small-dollar donors<\/strong>. In 2008, the McCain campaign released<\/a> the names of donors who had contributed less than $200, though it was not required to do so. But the Obama campaign refused, amidst accusations<\/a> it had accepted illegal foreign contributions.<\/p>\n

Rashid Khalidi Khalidi is longtime a friend<\/a> of Barack Obama<\/a> and Michelle Obama<\/a>. In the 1990s, Obama and his wife\u00a0were regular dinner guests<\/a>\u00a0at Khalidi\u2019s Chicago home. During the 2000 election cycle, Mr. and Mrs. Khalidi organized a fundraiser<\/a> for Barack Obama\u2019s unsuccessful congressional bid. In 2001 and again in 2002, the\u00a0Woods Fund of Chicago<\/a>, while Mr. Obama served on\u00a0its board, made grants totaling $75,000 to\u00a0Khalidi\u2019s Arab American Action Network<\/a>. In 2003 Obama would\u00a0attend<\/a>\u00a0a farewell party in Khalidi\u2019s honor when the latter was leaving the University of Chicago to embark on his\u00a0new position at Columbia.In a 2008 interview, Khalidi praised Obama effusively, stating<\/a>that, if elected President, Obama would be more understanding of the Palestinian experience than other politicians. \u201cHe has family literally all over the world,\u201d Khalidi noted. \u201cI feel a kindred spirit from that.\u201d (Wikipedia) (Discover the Networks) <\/p>\n

5. The Khalidi tape<\/strong>. In 2003, Obama attended a party for his good friend, the radical Palestinian academic Rashid Khalidi. The event featured incendiary anti-Israel rhetoric. The LA Times<\/em> broke the story<\/a>, but has refused to release the tape–and so has Obama.<\/p>\n

4. The real White House guest list<\/strong>. Touting its transparency, the Obama White House released its guest logs–but kept many visits secret<\/a>, and moved meetings with lobbyists<\/a> off-site. It also refused to confirm<\/a> the identities of visitors like Bertha Lewis of ACORN.<\/p>\n

3. Countless FOIA requests<\/strong>. The Obama administration has been described as \u201cthe worst<\/a>\u201d ever in complying with Freedom of Information Act requests for documents. It has also punished whistleblowers like David Walpin, who exposed<\/a> cronyism in Americorps.<\/p>\n

2. Health reform negotiations<\/strong>. Candidate Obama promised<\/a> that health care reform negotiations would be televised on C-SPAN. Instead, there were back-room deals woth millions with lobbyists and legislators–the details of which are only beginning to emerge<\/a>.<\/p>\n

1. Fast and Furious documents<\/strong>. After months of stonewalling Congress, Attorney General Eric Holder asked President Obama to use executive privilege to conceal thousands of documents related to the deadly scandal–and Obama did just that<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In addition to the above, Obama and his campaign have lied about many facts about his past–his<\/span> membership in the New Party<\/a>; his extensive<\/span><\/a> connections with<\/span> ACORN; and his continued relationship with domestic terrorist<\/span><\/span> Bill Ayers<\/a> and<\/span> Jeremiah Wright<\/a>, among other examples. Obama\u2019s own memoir is filled with fabrications. And now he is lying about his opponent\u2019s honorable record in business. He–and the media–have no shame.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
