When President Obama taxes the donations you give to your church offering plates, guess where he wants to send your church’s money? To Muslim mosques of course. CNN Money News reported President Obama’s new budget reduces or eliminates some tax-deductions for charities or churches, hurting donors ability to give tithes to God. But where do those church dollars go, when Obama indirectly taxes your church?<\/p>\n

Your tax dollars already go overseas to build Muslim Mosques. The Washington Times reports the Obama Administration has spent HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of taxpayer dollars reaching out to Islam and paying to build Muslim Mosques around the world. Not only did Obama hire and send on a worldwide speaking tour Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the man building the offensive Ground Zero Mosque at the site of 9\/11, but also…<\/p>\n

“In April, U.S. Ambassador to Tanzania Alfonso E. Lenhardt helped cut the ribbon at the 12th-century Kizimkazi Mosque, which was refurbished with assistance from the United States under a program to preserve culturally significant buildings. The U.S. government also helped save the Amr Ebn El Aas Mosque in Cairo, which dates back to 642. The mosque\u2019s namesake was the Muslim conqueror of Christian Egypt…” The mosques being rebuilt by the United States (with your church dollars) are used for Muslim religious worship, raising important First Amendment questions. It’s bad enough that Obama funds Mosques with your tax dollars, but now he wants to tax our churches to pay for Islam?<\/p>\n

He’s not robbing Peter to pay Paul, Obama is robbing both Peter and Paul to Mohammed and Abdul Rauf. Let’s say no. The Government must never be allowed to double-tax conservative churches, or donors that disagree with Obama! Sign our petition to defend all charitable deductions, so YOU can choose what churches get YOUR money.<\/p>\n

President Obama continued his attack on American values and Churches by releasing his updated budget plan, which now includes indirectly taxing American Churches and Charities by eliminating tax-deductions for charitable giving, and home-mortgages.<\/p>\n

CNN Money News just reported “The president once again proposed in his budget to curtail high-income earners’ tax deduction for mortgage interest payments and charitable contributions. Under his proposal, taxpayers in the 33% and 35% tax brackets would only be able to deduct their [church or charity] contributions and mortgage interest payments at the 28% rate.”<\/p>\n

In other words, Obama wants to take money out of your church’s offering plate, and hurt the helpers, damaging their ability to serve the poor and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. People in those brackets who donate to churches will be effectively double-taxed, paying more taxes because they give to charity, which directly decreases their ability to donate.<\/p>\n

“While charities don’t have the same spending power on lobbyists, they also plan to make their voices heard,” said CNN, quoting Tim Delaney, head of the National Council of Nonprofits. “Limiting the charitable deduction will likely curtail large donations to charities for the arts, environment, education and other sectors [i.e. churches]. This would come at a tough time for many charities since they are seeing donations drop, while the demand for their services rises.”<\/p>\n
