Watchwoman:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 I never have and never will in any way support the Occupiers, anarchists and the lot of all of them.\u00a0 They all conveniently fit together into the commie pile of nonsense out to destroy and bring to complete\u00a0 ruination America’s free-market system that has contributed to America’s prosperity\u00a0 far above any other country in the world . . . with a qualification: As long as our country remains under the dominion of God . . .<\/p>\n

I’d like to bring to your attention, something that you likely don’t know if you don’t live in the Cleveland viewing area.<\/p>\n

The Horseshoe Casino on Downtown Public Square (that many conservative Christians fought against for many years because gambling only takes from a city’s wealth, does not contribute to it . . . gambling produces nothing but heartache and neglected families from it’s addictive qualities, but that topic is for another day to discuss) is due to open mid-May, 2012, owned by Dan Gilbert (owner of the Cavs) and there’s no way that Gilbert will ever allow a group of smelly, unsightly protesters have a tent for a home to remain across the street from his multimillion dollar sparkling, enticing investment.\u00a0 He wants all the even more stupid losers (gamblers) to come inside his establishment feeling all clean, safe, secure and superior while he takes away their money while they think they are having fun losing it to him!\u00a0 Who is dumber? The Occupiers or the gamblers?\u00a0 Both want something for nothing.\u00a0 You decide.<\/p>\n

What does the Bible say about gambling?\u00a0<\/strong> It does not specifically condemn gambling, betting, or the lottery. The Bible does warn us, however, to stay away from the love of money (1 Timothy 6:10; Hebrews 13:5). Scripture also encourages us to stay away from attempts to \u201cget rich quick\u201d (Proverbs 13:11; 23:5; Ecclesiastes 5:10). Gambling most definitely is focused on the love of money and undeniably tempts people with the promise of quick and easy riches.<\/p>\n

Cleveland police supervised as city workers removed the “Occupy Cleveland” tent early Thursday morning.<\/p>\n

“When the cameras were gone, Cleveland police came around\u00a03, 3:30\u00a0in the morning with a bunch of city workers, had ordered the tent to be torn down,” said protestor Peter Schanz. “There were about eight police officers here supervising city workers tearing it down.”<\/p>\n

Occupy protesters did not budge, and\u00a0stayed through the night.<\/p>\n

“The tent was a symbol, but the movement is not leaving. Absolutely not,” Schanz added.<\/p>\n

This, after city hall decided not to renew a permit for protestors to place a canopy on a sidewalk across the street from Public Square.<\/p>\n

The protestors can still be there with signs, but they may not have\u00a0tents, camping equipment and other belongings. The number of protestors had dwindled in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

The suspects in the bridge bomb plot\u00a0had ties to the Occupy Cleveland protest\u00a0movement, but they were not organizers.<\/p>\n

Mayor’s Office Will Not Renew Public Square Permit

Cleveland \u2013 May 2- This morning, Mayor Jackson’s office decided not to renew Occupy Cleveland’s sidewalk encroachment permit for the West Roadway at Public Square. Occupy Cleveland has been given until 5:00 PM to voluntarily remove the tent and all of the movements belongings from the sidewalk.
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

Occupy Cleveland is one of the oldest physical occupations and we find it very unfortunate that the city has decided to revoke the permits, after almost 7 months of peaceful presence on Public Square. The movement has worked to peacefully defend the city from the corporate forces that have worked to cripple it and has seen great support from the general public. Occupy Cleveland has worked very hard to maintain a cordial relationship with the administration and the Cleveland Police Department and we hope that continues, despite the city’s decision.
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

While the tent has been Occupy Cleveland’s home and visual icon since its formation in October 2011, the movement will not end when it comes down. Occupy Cleveland plans a continued presence in the Mayor Tom Johnson\/Free Speech Quadrant of Public Square, and participation in events around the city. Due to the agreement made with the city on October 26, 2011, Occupy Cleveland has access to the<\/em><\/p>\n
