Allen West: I \u2018Believe\u2019 About 80 House Dems Are Communists, and Obama is \u2018Too Scared\u2019 to Debate Me<\/h1>\n

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla) gave a characteristically energetic speech at a town hall<\/a> event Tuesday evening, where he estimated that around 80 U.S. Representatives are Communist Party members.<\/p>\n

After one person asked him about \u201ccard-carrying\u201d Marxists in Congress, West responded to those who brushed aside the query.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, it\u2019s a good question,\u201d he said, adding: \u201cI believe there is about 78 to 81 members of the Democratic Party that are members of the Communist Party.\u201d<\/p>\n
