Watchwoman:<\/strong><\/span> A relative by marriage is an\u00a0Auschwitz Nazi death camp survivor. \u00a0She has sat at my dinner table frequently on holidays. \u00a0This holocaust is one that is not as distant as it might be for other Christians who have never seen the long-term affects from the horrors of what was done to these Jewish people. \u00a0My relative was only 16 when she was sent to Auschwitz. \u00a0Nevertheless, what man meant for evil, God turned to good. \u00a0My dear aged relative is a true believer in the Messiah Jesus Christ! \u00a0But, still we should never forget what Hitler did, not only to the Jews, but to millions of Christians and their pastors. \u00a0Don’t ever let it happen here. \u00a0I sit at my desk for many hours every day putting an X before the Category “Warning” and “Wake Up America.” \u00a0Why? Because it didn’t stop with Hitler. \u00a0Pol Pot came in the lifetime of my children. \u00a0The people in the mideast suffer at the hands the Mullahs and terrorists in Iraq, Iran, Syria, etc. today. \u00a0In Jerusalem, Israel, and all around the world terror,\u00a0pestilence (diseases that arise from the results of deprivation caused by godless tyrants and terrorists)\u00a0and horrors beyond imagination are reaped upon mankind by man that are commonplace events in so many lands. \u00a0They happen every day! \u00a0In Nigeria. \u00a0Indonesia. \u00a0Somalia. ADOLF WHO?<\/h1>\n

Many wrongly believe that the world\u2019s greatest criminal was a Christian<\/strong><\/p>\n

WASHINGTON \u2013 Today is Holocaust Memorial Day in Germany.<\/p>\n

But the problem is few know it \u2013 and even more don\u2019t remember what it\u2019s all about.<\/p>\n

\n

One in five young Germans has no idea that Auschwitz was a Nazi death camp, a poll released this week showed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Although 90 percent of those asked did know it was a concentration camp, the poll for yesterday\u2019s edition of Stern news magazine revealed that Auschwitz meant nothing to 21 percent of 18-29 year olds.<\/p>\n

And nearly a third of the 1,002 people questioned last Thursday and Friday for the poll were unaware that Auschwitz was in Poland.<\/p>\n

Holocaust Memorial Day is the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz by Soviet troops Jan. 27, 1945, which Germany has marked since 1996 with official memorial ceremonies for Holocaust victims.<\/p>\n

According to a report by independent experts commissioned by the German parliament and published earlier this week, about one in five Germans is latently anti-Semitic.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s just Germany \u2013 the nation that sponsored the genocide against 6 million Jews and the extermination of 6 million others.<\/p>\n

The awareness of who Adolf Hitler was and what the Holocaust represented is far less understood elsewhere \u2013 particularly among young people in the U.S.<\/p>\n

When best-selling author Ray Comfort promised his publisher, WND Books, that he would produce a companion movie for his new release,\u201cHitler, God, and the Bible,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0he really didn\u2019t know what he was getting himself into.<\/p>\n

Comfort did what he does so frequently and skillfully as the co-host, with actor Kirk Cameron, of a popular TV series called\u00a0\u201cThe Way of the Master\u201d<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 taking his video cameras to the streets and asking what people knew about the infamous German tyrant and mass murderer. He returned shocked \u2013 with footage of 14 people (mainly university students) who didn\u2019t have a clue as to who Hitler was. When he posted the movie on the Internet, it received 2.1 million views in just over three months. Since then, hundreds of thousands of copies of the\u00a0sensational 30-minute documentary \u201c180\u2033 have been sold nationwide.<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\u201cMany have derided these students for their ignorance, but I put the blame at the feet of the American education system because it has dropped the ball on this one,\u201d says Comfort. \u201cHolocaust education in the United States is only mandatory in five states. That\u2019s crazy! We are leaving millions in the dark about this recent and tragic part of human history.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now Comfort delivers the answer to the provocative and baffling question he asked of Americans last year in\u00a0\u201cHitler, God and the Bible,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0a sensational book designed as a series of titles \u2013 the next one scheduled for later in the year is called \u201cThe Beatles, God and the Bible.\u201d<\/p>\n

The author hopes that the book will be used to not only to educate this generation, but to enlighten those who wrongly believe that the world\u2019s greatest criminal was a Christian.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s become popular to label Hitler as a Christian because of his many references to God, but he only did what many politicians still do today,\u201d says Comfort. \u201cHe used God for his own political agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n

Comfort added, \u201cWhen I was researching Hitler\u2019s life, I was sure that I would uncover his motive for killing so many Jews. But all I found were theories \u2013 that he perhaps contracted syphilis from a Jewish prostitute; or that he was possibly bitter that a mainly Jewish panel rejected his paintings, or that he was probably jealous that many Jews were able to financially ride out the Great Depression. But it makes no sense that anyone would kill 6 million people, just for these reasons. In the book I have uncovered another motivation as to why he murdered so many \u2013 and it\u2019s one that makes perfect sense.\u201d<\/p>\n

Comfort, who is Jewish, also said that it was extremely important to include graphic Holocaust pictures in the book, \u201cBecause, in this case, a picture truly is worth a thousand words. I wept more than once as I wrote this publication. This is a horror beyond words that we must never forget, because it must never happen again, and the only way to make sure that it doesn\u2019t is to preserve history.\u201d<\/p>\n
