Several same-sex couples came together in the first minutes of New Year’s Day in Honolulu to become the first in the state’s history to enter into civil unions.<\/strong><\/h1>\n

\n\"\"Lord, we know that civil unions and marriage between the same sex is an abomination to You and not Your design and will. We stand in the gap and repent; praying for mercy. Many of Your people have been praying, speaking, and working against these unholy unions. Bless those who are working for righteousness, and open the ears and eyes of the unrighteous to know truth; that You have a better plan for lives caught in sexual bondage, and that there is hope. May Your people also speak in a spirit of love instead of condemnation in dealing with these sexual issues. We ask that You help us turn around Hawaii – and all of our states – to Your ways of sexual purity in the name of Jesus Amen.<\/p>\n

– For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.<\/em>\u00a0(Romans 1:26-27)<\/p>\n
