Rep.\u00a0Jim Sensenbrenner<\/strong>\u00a0(R-Wisc.), known for his cantankerous ways and for not speaking to media unless it\u2019s his idea, was overheard at the Delta Crown lounge at Reagan National Airport today talking on his cellphone about an incident he said occurred three weeks ago while at an Episcopal church auction. Please note, a\u00a0church\u00a0<\/em>auction.<\/p>\n

Our source, a Democratic operative who heard the whole thing, said he was \u201cvery loud\u201d. Sensenbrenner was overheard saying that after buying all their \u201ccrap\u201d (his word) a woman approached him and praised first lady\u00a0Michelle Obama<\/strong>.\u00a0 He told the woman that Michelle should practice what she preaches \u2014 \u201cshe lectures us on eating right while she has a large posterior herself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hold the phone! Did the congressman just say Michelle Obama has a FAT ASS?<\/p>\n

The operative said it sounded like he was on the phone with a staffer who was telling him that someone in the media would likely write about his comments (concerning something) to which he said it was heresy and just liberal media bias to print gossip.\u00a0 But \u201che stands by his remarks.\u201d<\/p>\n

At this juncture we\u2019d like to point out that Sensenbrenner, who typically celebrates his birthdays by eating Cheetos and shrimp, has no business discussing fat asses while having quite the big butt himself.\u00a0 And we realize that our picture is only head shot, but if this is what his noggin looks like, just imagine his backside. A note to the Congressman: \u201cLet\u2019s Move\u201d could do you a WORLD of good. And lay off the Cheetos!<\/p>\n

We reached out to\u00a0Amanda Infield<\/strong>\u00a0in Sensenbrenner\u2019s Washington press office by both email and phone. When and if she responds, we\u2019ll provide her quotes.<\/p>\n

Hi. I write FishbowlDC. Your boss was overheard in Reagan National Airport today saying the following. He was saying he was attending a church auction some three weeks ago when a woman approached and praised Michelle Obama. This is when he said, \u201cshe lectures us on eating right while she has a large posterior herself.\u201d<\/p>\n

So basically your boss told a constituent that the first lady has a big butt. My questions:\u00a01.\u00a0<\/strong>Does the Congressman realize that he, also, has a large behind?\u00a02.\u00a0<\/strong>Does he always speak so loudly on the cell phone?<\/p>\n

Amanda Infield<\/strong>, a spokesman for Rep.\u00a0Jim Sensenbrenner<\/strong>\u00a0(R-Wis.) graciously got back to us concerning her boss\u00a0telling<\/a>\u00a0a female constituent that first lady\u00a0Michelle Obama<\/strong>\u00a0has a \u201clarge posterior.\u201d The congressman was overheard talking on his cell phone earlier today in a lounge at Reagan National Airport.<\/p>\n

Hi Betsy, I am not going to comment on my boss\u2019 \u201cbehind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr. Sensenbrenner was referring to the First Lady\u2019s healthy food initiative.\u00a0 He doesn\u2019t think the government should be telling Americans what to eat.\u00a0 While he may not agree with all of her initiatives, he plans to contact the First Lady\u2019s office to apologize for his comments.<\/p>\n
