Legendary comedian Jackie Mason isn\u2019t fond of President Barack Obama. During the 2008 campaign, Mason called then-candidate Obama \u201ca mindless man.\u201d It seems even three years later, the comic isn\u2018t ready to shower the world\u2019s most powerful leader with praise.<\/p>\n

On Monday, Mason slammed the White House\u2019s\u00a0Hanukkah\u00a0celebration, dismissing it as\u00a0a fraudulent photo opportunity<\/a>\u00a0and essentially claiming that the president isn\u2019t genuinely interested in the Jewish community.\u00a0The event, which was held at the White House on December 8, included 550 guests. Below, watch video of Obama speaking during the celebration:<\/p>\n

In an interview with\u00a0Aaron Klein of New York City\u2019s WABC Radio<\/a>, Mason gave his less-than-pleasant assessment of the commemorative religious event (listen to it here<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2018t even think he knew that he was talking about something that\u2019s Jewish. It could have been Muslim, it could have been all together a religion he never even heard of,\u201d he said. \u201cHe doesn\u2019t know, he doesn\u2019t care. He\u2019s strictly in there to take a picture, and the picture could have been about anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

But he wasn\u2019t done there.<\/p>\n

\u201cA bunch of advisors, most of whom are Jewish anyways \u2014 because he has more Jews in his cabinet than Netanyahu. He\u2019s jammed up with Jews all around him \u2014 and they told him, if you wanna get them back, Hanukkah is a good idea,\u201d Mason said.\u00a0\u201dYou don\u2019t have to go any place. We\u2018ll put down the tchotchke and you\u2019ll see a candle, you\u2019ll light it from this side, and that\u2019s enough information for him to accumulate without a teleprompter. So he did it in 10 minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Blaze\u00a0has covered<\/a>\u00a0the president\u2019s efforts to attract Jewish support before. That being said, there\u2019s no evidence that this Hanukkah party was hosted and created as a ploy to attract the Jewish vote in 2012. Either way, Mason\u2019s words were certainly harsh.<\/p>\n

The comic isn\u2019t unfamiliar with controversy, though.\u00a0As the Huffington Post notes<\/a>, he purportedly used the Yiddish word \u201cschvartze\u201d in reference to Obama (a word some apparently believe is an outdated racial reference), he has called Islam a \u201cmurderous religion\u201d and, as noted, he has slammed the president\u2019s intellect in the past.<\/p>\n
