Watchwoman:<\/strong> Advent was very big in our household. \u00a0We marked it by cleaning a scrubbing the house\u00a0thoroughly because every thing had to be clean in anticipation of Christ’s Incarnation on Planet Earth in a Human Body, when God became Man, by the Virgin Birth of Mary. \u00a0God was Fully God and Fully Man! \u00a0On December 6th my mother put up the wreaths. \u00a0We were told to pray and know that Jesus was coming again and we needed to be prepared, not only for His First Advent, but for His Second. \u00a0We were taught to live our lives in the present, like He was coming back with a Sword to Judge the Living and the Dead<\/strong> because, HE IS<\/strong>! \u00a0My parents were Christians who read the Bible every day and prayed many times every day. \u00a0They did these acts out loud\u00a0in front of us children. \u00a0We listened or we would have been corrected. \u00a0But it’s not the 40’s and 50’s anymore. \u00a0Post modernists, humanists, TV producers, news\u00a0anchors, and public government school teachers all tout that they know better than the old-country, simple-minded European pious, Christian folks like my parents. So now it seems that Advent, Christ-based preparations are no longer needed. \u00a0Now to prepare, all you have to do now is get ready for Santa, not Christ. \u00a0Spend your money. \u00a0Max the credit cards! \u00a0And preparation for Satan (excuse me, I mean Santa) gets earlier every year. \u00a0In 2011, watching TV\u00a0commercials, I saw it start\u00a0 about two weeks before Halloween when the Wall Street brainwashing machine of clever ad men began to start brainwashing the sheeple, to get you thinking about buying every thing material,\u00a0especially\u00a0electronics and every expensive item in every store, even if it is just junk from a discount 99\u00a2 store, to Wal*Mart, not overlooking, Toys R Us. \u00a0For the richer crowd — you know the ones who still have jobs, the malls where specialty stores beckon offering to meet every whim and fancy. \u00a0Then there’s the sophisticated crowd with\u00a0appropriate\u00a0sophisticated, elaborate, but tasteful\u00a0decorations at the major department stores like Dillards and Macy’s for the upscale desires to be fulfilled. \u00a0For the super rich it has to be the most expensive, the local equivalents of the shops located on Rodeo Drive in California, where prices are so\u00a0outlandish\u00a0only people in Hollyweird can afford to shop there. \u00a0That’s the ultimate\u00a0experience, and if you do shop those stores, then you know that you’re finally there, you’ve arrived, you’ve got it made, you’re a success! \u00a0Church? \u00a0Say what? \u00a0You have no time for that. \u00a0You gotta shop!!! \u00a0Repeat that? \u00a0Spend time in prayer! \u00a0No!!! \u00a0You’re waaaaaaaaay too busy! \u00a0 Listen to me, friends, S T O P<\/strong> – – – all that foolishness<\/strong>. \u00a0There is only one thing that will matter to you and you can’t get it at a 99\u00a2 store, nor can you buy it on Rodeo Drive either. \u00a0It is priceless. \u00a0It is far dearer than anything you can touch, see, smell, or taste. \u00a0What you need is JESUS<\/strong>!!! \u00a0You need The Holy King James Bible<\/strong>. \u00a0 You’re hungering for Salvation<\/strong>. \u00a0The Gospel<\/strong>. \u00a0The Ten Commandments<\/strong>. \u00a0So Prepare. \u00a0Celebrate Advent again! \u00a0Because He IS coming again! \u00a0You can base every moment of your life and every choice you ever make upon it<\/span>! \u00a0I can predict this with 100% accuracy!!! \u00a0<\/em>\u25ac \u00a0Donna Calvin<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Revelation 1:4-8 – Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/strong>There can be no true peace, where there is not true grace; and where grace goeth before, peace will follow. This blessing is in the name of God, of the Holy Trinity, it is an act of adoration. The Father is first named; he is described as the Jehovah who is, and who was, and who is to come, eternal, unchangeable. The Holy Spirit is called the seven spirits, the perfect Spirit of God, in whom there is a diversity of gifts and operations. The Lord Jesus Christ was from eternity, a Witness to all the counsels of God. He is the First-born from the dead, who will by his own power raise up his people. He is the Prince of the kings of the earth; by him their counsels are overruled, and to him they are accountable. Sin leaves a stain of guilt and pollution upon the soul. Nothing can fetch out this stain but the blood of Christ; and Christ shed his own blood to satisfy Divine justice, and purchase pardon and purity for his people. Christ has made believers kings and priests to God and his Father. As such they overcome the world, mortify sin, govern their own spirits, resist Satan, prevail with God in prayer, and shall judge the world. He has made them priests, given them access to God, enabled them to offer spiritual and acceptable sacrifices, and for these favours they are bound to ascribe to him dominion and glory for ever. He will judge the world. Attention is called to that great day when all will see the wisdom and happiness of the friends of Christ, and the madness and misery of his enemies. Let us think frequently upon the second coming of Christ. He shall come, to the terror of those who wound and crucify him by apostacy: he shall come, to the astonishment of the whole world of the ungodly. He is the Beginning and the End; all things are from him and for him; he is the Almighty; the same eternal and unchanged One. And if we would be numbered with his saints in glory everlasting, we must now willing submit to him receive him, and honour him as a saviour, who we believe will come to be our Judge. Alas, that there should be many, who would wish never to die, and that there should not be a day of judgment!<\/span><\/p>\n
