It is not yet available through any online booksellers. I’ll let you know when it is. Now you know what I was so feverishly working on! Let me tell you my thinking behind this book- it is a simple, direct, debunking. It’s not censorious or judgmental of people who like the book or are honestly intrigued by it – I don’t want to alienate anyone. I want people whose curiosity was aroused by the novel or who may have enjoyed it on some level to read my book and learn from it, and not feel as if I’m judging them. Because I’m not.

I have, from the beginning, seen this phenomenon as an opportunity for catechesis on Christian origins, and that is my indirect purpose in the writing of this book. I want people to come out of reading this, not just understanding how dumb the historical “claims” of the novel are, but also with a willingness and interest to learn more about Christ from the source – the New Testament and the life of the Church.

I also wrote a pamphlet:

that addresses some of the central issues. It will be available very soon, and, I must say, even from looking at the design which didn’t have any color at the time, looks to be a very classy presentation. It’s a great stocking stuffer!

Here’s the link for more info on the pamphlet, for all of you involved in parish, school and diocesan ministry out there!

(I will also say that the book is suitable for anyone, no matter if they’re Catholic or not. I wrote it with as broad an audience as possible in mind, emphasizing the constant and really egregious misstatements and assertions about history, religion and art, rather than any “anti-Catholic” theme.)

(Tuesday AM – OSV site is down, which accounts for the blank images here.
