The new bishop of Phoenix, Thomas Olmstead, joined a massive pro-life protest in front of a Planned Parenthood facility on Good Friday.<\/a><\/p>\n

\nPlanned Parenthood President and CEO Bryan Howard said the protest was the
\nlargest he had seen in his seven years with the organization. The protest,
\nwhich lasted about three hours, curtailed business at the building, which
\nhouses offices and medical facilities.<\/p>\n

“When a young woman who needs our services faces a crowd of that size, it
\neffectively constitutes a blockade,” Howard said at a news conference during
\nthe protest. “Our parking lot usually is full on a Friday.”<\/p>\n
