Things are going to be very <\/em>busy around here the next couple of weeks. I’ll be around, but probably with only about 1\/20th of my brain.
\nI had a little spurt of book orders yesterday. Thank you! If you’d like to order books, please do so – here’s the bookstore. <\/a>There are some glitches in the Paypal buttons (my fault – nothing serious), but just a couple of things:
\n1) If you want personalized signatures and the note requesting the information doesn’t come up at the end of the order, drop me a line.
\n2) Make sure the thing asks you for your address.
\n3) If you are ordering anything except the Loyola Kids’ books, the Book of Days, the Prove Its, Here, Now , Mary and the Christian Life <\/em>or the Pocket Guides, drop me a line<\/a> BEFORE you order to see if I have them in stock. I probably don’t, and I won’t be re-ordering for a bit.
\nNext week, Matthew Lickona, Joseph O’Brien and Bishop Daniel Flores and I will be discussing Ron Hansen’s novel Exiles <\/em>over at Inside Catholic.<\/a> Exiles <\/em>weaves together the story of poet Gerard Manley Hopkins and the subjects of his great work The Wreck of the Deutschland <\/em>– particularly the five German nuns who were on board the ship, traveling to America. Amy has five children, ranging in age from 26 to 4 and was married to Michael Dubruiel, who died unexpectedly in February 2009.
