All went well &#8211; good crowd, a blog-reader or two (Hi Kevin!), etc. Some adventures the next day as we crossed the border for a short Canadian jaunt, but right now I&#8217;m too busy to elaborate. To put it more bluntly, I&#8217;d much rather blog with you than do what I have to do &#8211; finish revising a copy-edited manuscript that&#8217;s supposed to go to design, I guess next week. I&#8217;d rather blog than revise because, well, it&#8217;s just so depressing to read over everyone&#8217;s dissection of what you did wrong (or at least what they think you did wrong). <\/p>\n<p>But it must, must get done by Monday, so back to work.<\/p>\n<p>The good news seems to be that Amazon or whoever has their act together, so they&#8217;re shipping <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/1592761011\/qid=1083438029\/sr=8-3\/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i3_xgl14\/103-8080405-1600630?v=glance&amp;s=books&amp;n=507846\">De-Coding in 2-3 days, they claim.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/search.barnesandnoble.com\/booksearch\/isbnInquiry.asp?isbn=1592761011&amp;itm=1\">Still in the top 100 at BN<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amywelborn.com\/davincicode.html\">still have copies here, which I try, if possible to ship out the same day as ordered, next day at the latest.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Later.<\/p>\n<p>Post good news links here if you like, or to superb commentary on your own blog.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;of course, and have been. Amy has five children, ranging in age from 26 to 4 and was married to Michael Dubruiel, who died unexpectedly in February 2009.
