What is required is that all texts have an imprimateur. How can a text have an imprimatur but found not to be in compliance? Mostly by omission. The imprimatur declares that there is nothing contrary to faith in the book. But it may omit issues, etc. that the committee believes are necessary for a full presentation of the faith.)<\/p>\n
They’re not going to develop any more texts or even attempt to revise their old ones to bring them into compliance. This publisher was one of the major players in the field, had lots of high school texts used by lots of schools, but only a few (maybe 2 out of 9 or something) had been found in compliance.
