Springs<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In his four-page letter, Kethcart argues that good Catholics can oppose Sheridan on his chosen issues and that politicians must represent all their constituents.<\/p>\n<p>He called the letter a &#8220;divisive, callous and cold hearted dictum&#8221; and an example of &#8220;narrow- mindedness&#8221; and &#8220;misplaced and uninformed zealotry.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In this pastoral letter, you have chosen to lay down your staff and replace it with a bludgeon,&#8221; Kethcart wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Unless Sheridan recants his position, Kethcart writes that he will have no choice but to revoke his $100,000 pledge toward a $3 million campaign for a new St. Mark&#8217;s church building in Highlands Ranch.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The laity has to carry this issue because (clergy who may oppose Sheridan&#8217;s stance) can&#8217;t.
