I want what I&#8217;m working on to be done (at least this stage of it) and out of my life (until it comes back to me with many thoughts, I&#8217;m sure). I want to go to Chicago next week with a clear conscience, and then get back and be able to start seriously thinking about what to do about this damn kitchen and pull out my fiction and start seriously figuring out if this is something I can do, without Other Things over my head. Four books in 12 months. No, they&#8217;re not Tolstoy, but the constant, constant weight of deadlines &#8211; not for articles, but for <em>manuscripts<\/em> has just exhausted me, along with the physical misery of the past 12 weeks or so.<\/p>\n<p>So, in other words, I will be blogging &#8211; but please be nice in the comments so I don&#8217;t I have to worry and please keep the email to a minimum unless you&#8217;ve got a killer link for me.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is it &#8211; yeah, I could ask for a week or so extension on my deadline, but you know what? Amy has written columns for Our Sunday Visitor and Catholic News Service at times over the past twenty years. Amy has five children, ranging in age from 26 to 4 and was married to Michael Dubruiel, who died unexpectedly in February 2009.
