As Pope, he has reiterated that Europe\u2019s unity is based on its \u201cindispensable Christian roots.\u201d To skeptics, Pope Benedict\u2019s argument for cultural purity is dangerously reminiscent of the Nazi Christian argument that Jews had no place in a Christian country such as Germany. While Benedict\u2019s intentions for dialogue with non-Christian religions are no doubt sincere, his fight against the political influence of non-Christian cultures in Europe may inadvertently fan the flames of discrimination based on religious creed. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n

"Nazi Christian?" Really? Learn something every day, don’t we. <\/p>\n

Yes, when I look at the list of the "Dirty Dozen" of religiously oppressive governments down below, I’m overwhelmed by how many of them have Christian roots. Because it’s the Christians who are fanning flames of discrimination int he 21st century, isn’t it?<\/p>\n
