You just came back from the bishops&#8217; semi-annual meeting. The news reports that came out of that meeting were talking about the changes to the Mass. Is it too early to comment on those changes?<\/p>\n<p>A. <strong>As I tell people, they&#8217;re not changes to the Mass, they&#8217;re changes to the translation.<\/strong> They certainly will not be as abrupt and earth-shattering as the changes of the early 1970s, when we went from something completely in Latin to the vernacular. . . . (The Vatican) wants a closer adherence to the Latin, and part of that is aesthetic as well.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Bold my emphasis: simple, concise talking point. Amy has five children, ranging in age from 26 to 4 and was married to Michael Dubruiel, who died unexpectedly in February 2009.
