As they did this, they told the parish personnel they had diocesean permission; the diocese denies it is so.<\/p>\n<p>There is, as you probably remember, a male companion in all of this, with whom the priest owned property. You might have missed this:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Earlier this year, the two men posed together in what Philadelphia Style magazine billed as its \u201csexiest issue ever.\u201d The priest was identified simply as Michael Fay, without his title, and his companion was identified by the name he uses professionally, Cliff Martell. Asked to name their \u201cmost romantic Philadelphia dining experience,\u201d the two men chose La Boheme. \u201cIt\u2019s intimate with delicious food,\u201d they were quoted as saying. The same issue also contained a $1,600 ad for Mr. Martell\u2019s business that was paid for by the Darien church, The Stamford Advocate has reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe diocese was not aware of the Philadelphia photograph,\u201d Dr. McAleer of the diocese said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Well, the diocese should have been aware of the parish finances.
