A 4-week long presentation on Catholicism for young adults in Houston had great numbers:<\/a><\/p>\n

Extra chairs were needed for the standing room only crowd gathered on July 17 for Cafe Catholica, a summer coffee house series geared towards young adults of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. More than 300 people attended to hear Archbishop Daniel DiNardo speak about the sacraments in the second part of a four-part series titled \u201cHighway to Heaven.\u201d
On Monday nights during July, the Office of Young Adult and Campus Ministry hosted the 7th annual event at St. Vincent de Paul parish. The evening started with Mass and was followed by music and dinner prior to an informative talk given by one of the bishops of the archdiocese. Archbishop DiNardo hosted the first two sessions speaking on the Creed and then the Sacraments. Auxiliary Bishop Joe S. Vasquez hosted session three on Christian life and the 10 commandments and Auxiliary Bishop Vincent M. Rizzotto spoke on prayer at the fourth session.
Attendees ranged from college students to professionals in their early 30\u2019s and their reasons for coming varied.

Amy has written columns for Our Sunday Visitor and Catholic News Service at times over the past twenty years. Her articles have been published in venues ranging from Our Sunday Visitor to the New York Times to Commonweal. She has written 17 books. 18, if you included the as yet tragically unpublished novel. Amy has five children, ranging in age from 26 to 4 and was married to Michael Dubruiel, who died unexpectedly in February 2009.
