So today, I will be going to mass for the Feast of the Assumption of Mary at St. Paul Catholic Church, which is the Catholic church nearest to Graceland, so it would have been Elvis’ parish had he been Catholic. Every year, at 3 PM on August 15, there is a mass for the Assumption of Our Lady, and every year, a thousand or so Elvis fans from around the country and around the world come to mass together to pray, to remember the hope that lies ahead for all of us, to remember the Queen of Heaven, and to ask her intercession on behalf of the King of Rock and Roll. The music for today’s mass will include "The Miracle of the Rosary,"<\/span><\/strong><\/a> and "How Great Thou Art."<\/p>\n

I know it sounds funny, but it has turned out to be a great evangelization tool because a sizable minority of the people who come to this annual mass are not Catholic. Amy has five children, ranging in age from 26 to 4 and was married to Michael Dubruiel, who died unexpectedly in February 2009.
