Music: <em>Come Holy Ghost <\/em>(entrance), <em>One Bread, One Body (<\/em>(Communion) <em>Holy God We Praise Thy Name <\/em>(closing).<br \/>\nSequence was sung by the cantor &#8211; it was the version in the missalette, but no directions for us to join in (which is fine, because the less procedural instructions during Mass the better), so I don&#8217;t think anyone did.<br \/>\nCantor chanted <em>Veni Creator Spiritus <\/em>at Communion.<br \/>\nEucharistic Prayer I<br \/>\nLots more people there than usual, which is probably due to the fact that it&#8217;s Assuage-Your-Guilt-And-Go-To-Mass-With-Mom Day.<br \/>\nHomily began quite effectively, I thought &#8211; alluding to our recent experience of earthquake tremors in these parts. As the homilist described it, a startling and rather indescribable experience &#8211; far out of the norm.<br \/>\nHe continued, speaking of how most of us value consistency and tranquility in our lives. We like things to stay the same.\u00a0 But that is not God&#8217;s way. Are we ready to be startled out of our complacency and led by God in new and different ways?<br \/>\nAs usual, very brief, but effective.<br \/>\n(What I could grasp of it &#8211; my ears are sort of wonky this morning, maybe because of the low pressure weighing down on the area &#8211; and Father&#8217;s voice and his microphone just don&#8217;t work well together. He speak from the ambo, but doesn&#8217;t use the ambo mike &#8211; I wish he would, because I have no trouble hearing the lectors, but once he gets up there I have to be perfectly still and concentrate really hard to get what he&#8217;s saying)<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/hancaquam.blogspot.com\/2008\/05\/receive-holy-spirit.html\" target=\"_blank\">Fr.
